Oh man. This better have that super anime versus topdown shooter, that game was amazing.

Really, really wish I could remember the damned name.

It's hard for me to watch old consoles being played since I was restricted to computers until late into the PS2/Xbox era.

But, hey, it's not like I can just leave content unwatched, either.

Hi guys, I posted a comment because I care. Love you.

I guess this is my morning then.

I'm not going to lie: this made me really want to play Money Puzzle Exchanger. Also Mark of the Wolves, but I already knew that game was great.

Also, what's with Brad and being good at obscure japanese puzzle games?

$300 games? Wow, and I get super mad when PC games are $60 instead of $50. It's interesting how little the price of games has gone up compared to other media.

Posted by SomeJerk

Money Puzzle Exchanger can be had for 600 yen on the Japanese PSN. Piece of cake to make an account and 1000 yen cards are cheap to get hold of online.

Man that Rorie shoe moment!

So, Brad mentions Greg Kasavin's Big Live Live Show promo where he's reading the Samurai Shodown intro and I really, really want to see it since I've somehow never seen it!

Could anybody find it for me?

Edited by ICF_19XX

So where is the BLLSL promo with Greg Kasavin reciting the text from Samurai Shodown II that Brad mentions?

Yup, carts were super expensive to make. SNK wanted to ensure the people who plopped down the money on a neo geo home system got exactly the same experience of the arcade system. That pristine performance cost quite the pretty penny back then.

Brad, thank you! "Urrito" was not entirely wasted.

I lost my shit laughing with my face in my palm.

It's a shame it didn't even register a tepid response from the others. Puns and wordplay have a storied history on GB, so Jeff's rigid no-sell transition was worse than the cricket chirps moments prior.

It's a relatively academic pull, and it wouldn't be as funny otherwise. Maybe the prefix and related terms are sort of prohibitively esoteric. In that case maybe what they heard was "ERRito," alluding to dubious edibility, and they responded properly. Maybe they didn't hear anything at all. Was your mic on?

Really, in earnest, I appreciate it.

Maybe you guys should put a frame of Ryan up on the door instead of that dastardly drawing of Jeff?.. it really isn't the most flattering of images, lol.

This is nostalgia at its best. I remember the Neo Geo back in the day and what fun it was to play despite the expensive price tag. I wouldn't mind looking for one just to have, but I have the games I want already for other platforms. I know that it isn't the same as having the authentic device, but I guess it's something.

Again, thanks for doing this and keep the great content coming.

A name like DEBTMISER is unforgettable. Looks like a fun game with mechanics similar to MagiDrop. For all the yen complaints, it seemed easy enough to understand: you want two 5s or five 1s, ignore the zeroes.

Shame they didn't play Twinkle Star Sprites. Maybe next time?

Oh man, $300 for one game! That's crazy! Who would pay for--

*Looks at her ever-growing Skylanders figurine collection...*

Oh wait. Nevermind! Continue, Neo Geo. I apologise. :D

Edited by SomeJerk

I'm in arcade-game collecting (again) where $300+ for a single game isn't uncommon when you want to splurge and treat yourself to a rarity or a new game, and many of the $300+ games I've bought since I started over a decade ago have provided entertainment and value for every quarter, that is I cannot say for too many of this current generations $60 console games.

Trivia: Fatal Fury 2 was the first game to feature (female) breastjiggle, I believe?

Fact: Samurai Shodown II is actually the best game ever made.

Edited by CaLe

That second fighting game looked legit. I guess this is the first time I've seen a Neo-Geo in action. I'm impressed with how smooth it all looks.

Brad getting so salty at samurai shodown is good stuff.

Whole lot of inputs to very little effect, sounds like what people playing video games in movies looks like.

Rorie sold all his full pairs of shoes for MMOs and goblin cards.
