2k is the hardest sports game on the market, every year it goes h.a.m., and now the fixing my one true gripe of the game ...the soundtrack. jay-z already doin his thing, i can here from the preview meek millz , so i know they are coming hard this year. less slaughter house, and more MMG and YMCMB...YEAH BUDDY...

2K never disappoints from a gameplay standpoint. I pray that they've fixed the neutered online system that was NBA 2K12, though. Can't change jerseys? Can't change home/away? Can't use My Player? It was just a mess. The "Locker Room" stuff was terrible.

Annual sports franchise, here are some iterations we kind of made, so buy it annually!

these little features mean nothing for non sports fans but this shit is super dope to nba fanatics. and yea its every year im paying 60 bucks for what is mostly the same game, but go back just 3 years ago and compare nba 2k10 to this shit, its crazy.

These are huge changes for NBA fans like myself. 2K12 was a pretty bad basketball game. Sure, it looked pretty, but it didn't get any of the fundamentals of basketball right.

Looks like this game might be a pretty big step forward.

2k sent some youtube nba2k commentators out to try a build and they've all had really positive things to say. As someone who sank 300+ hours (I know) into 2k12 i'm excited. While they may look like small changes to those that haven't played the game everything they're doing are fixing issues I had with it.

$30 on launch for PC (master race) :)

Another reason I love 2k. Hook in a couple xbox controllers and you're good to go too.

How is that in any way different than any other sequel? "Hey guys we added new maps and guns", "Hey guys now you play as this character." It's a myth that most sports games only update rosters year to year, if I showed a non-gamer CoD Modern Warfare and then Black Ops they'd probably say "What the hell is different about that?" To the gamer though it's a huge deal, same goes with sports games, as a sports gamer I see huge differences where a non committed fan might see nothing. If anything most sports games do something that general games don't, they constantly are exploring ways to heighten the gameplay experience. The graphical maximum in sports is going to be reached fairly early and it can't get all gussied up with smoke and mirrors like most games do with explosions, so developers most constantly be thinking about how to further develop the game experience itself (something a lot of games lose sight of in exchange for pretty and shiny things). If you play a lot of a certain sports game the unseen changes can be huge. I played NHL 09 probably more than any game ever, now NHL 12 on the surface looks like just a prettier version but the depth they added in the gameplay allowed me to get lost for countless more hours. I don't know, I just find it kind of funny that "gamers" paint people who play sports games as being mindless lemmings when in reality they probably are more appreciative of the subtle efforts of the gamemakers meanwhile these "gamers" continue to rag on a genre they don't play while they attempt to hide their erections for the annual explosions and big guns game that drops every fall (which don't get me wrong is awesome, I just don't see how any other genre isn't exactly the same as sports).

I could be wrong but couldn't you kind of do it in 2k12 too? On defense hold down the charge button and push the right stick back and your dude just falls over lol

The best way for this to go is for it to not even come remotely close to being uncovered.

The only main stream sports game I actually like.

Can't wait to play it on my PC... with a 360 controller :P

Yeah. It's crazy considering all the other games that came out this past year that 2k12 was the game I spent the most time on.

It's a quality game. And surprisingly enough for a sports game the port to PC has been excellent for the past 2 years. Never crashed on me, no gameplay bugs, only thing is some of the special jerseys (all star, christmas, etc.) don't load right.

I could be wrong but couldn't you kind of do it in 2k12 too? On defense hold down the charge button and push the right stick back and your dude just falls over lol

I think there might actually be a button now. Before the trick people would do is just spam the charge button at half court.

Flopping was actually possible in 2k12, had to use some weird combo of trying to take a charge as well as denying the ball. It was annoying because if you did it by accident, you were out of a play and gave the guy an open shot.
