Forza's kind of spoiled me for customization in racing games. Having five or six different hood racing stripes isn't doing it for me when I can grab a Pipboy design from some designer in Forza and slap it on a car in front of a nuclear blast. Other than that, this sure looks like a Need for Speed game.

If there's neon undercarriage lights there'd better be some fucking HIP HOP on this game track.

I like me some NFS, and I LOVVVVE me some Burnout... But for some reason the feel of both in one game just... I don't know, it doesn't interest me at all for some reason.

The trailer was pretty poppin' and it looks solid but yah it does kinda look like Most Wanted again.

I'm totally OK with this being a spiritual successor to N4S Hot Pursuit. Just make it good.

I wish they'd bring that stupid-ass feature from Carbon that let you adjust the values of bodykits and stuff. That was so dumb but so neat.

I was hoping this would be more like Underground 2 or Carbon, these options look pretty limited. I haven't enjoyed this series since Shift (Shift 2 was alright as well), but I seem to end up buying them every year anyways. It looks fun, but I know there'll be something that ruins it for me like the downright awful input lag in Most Wanted 2012 (PC).

Bring back the customization that Underground and the original Most Wanted had. Until then I'll remain uninterested.

I was really into Hot Pursuit (mostly thanks to Autolog) but man did Most Wanted bum me out big time. The cars just felt way to fragile in that game for it to be much fun. I also hate the logic of crashing into cops and other racers but the slightest little bump to another other car will send you flying.

Hmm Its not looking visually all that for a game coming out on next gen consoles.

Then again I guess Need for Speed: Most Wanted wasn't all that much of a looker when it came out on 360 at launch and I really enjoyed that so I might give this a look if it reviews well.

In terms of appreciation of ambition and production quality, sure, you're right - Red Dead: Redemption is a unique game this generation.

But measured by the raw uncut euphoria and fun of carving supersports cars around the bends of Hot Pursuit, weaving in and out of traffic, then no, you're wrong.

Really though, there's nothing like BF:BC 2 Vietnam - listening to Fortunate Son sitting in my Huey made of paper and blowing the NVA and their straw huts to kingdom come, racking up infinite kills, whilst outgunning everyone and sidestepping incoming RPGs with ease.

I'm not sold on customization being all that necessary so I don't care if it's not elaborate (Not like you're really going to focus on the finer detail while you're cruising along at 200mph). Hot Pursuit proved that they just need to focus on making a good game first. I hope they don't lose sight of that again.

Pretty much. Bring me back the modes from Underground 2 (DOWNHILL DRIFT, BAYBEE), let me put a soundsystem in the trunk and some sweet-ass rims and I'm game.

If there was ever a game series that needed to die off this would be it. It's sad to see Criterion go from making good games (Burnout) to this shit year after year. This franchise is more tired than Madden. Let it die EA. Nobody fucking cares anymore.

I for one appreciated both Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted immensely. Rivals looks even better than either of those. So yeah - I'm looking forward to Rivals a lot.

I didn't care, but the ad was good. I'll be interested in a quick-look when it releases, hopefully on PS4.

Just make Ungerground 3, that's what most people who actually buy NFS really want anyway.

Forza's spoiled me on racing period. After spending a few hundred hours competing in Forza 4, it's almost physically painful to get near the unrefined pile of arcade yawning that is most of the Need for Speed games. This series has been firmly stuck in "mediocre" territory for what, ten years or more now?

edit: Okay, that's probably exaggeration. But a long time, anyway!
