Huh, this is kind of like if Turn 10 announced some hot new Forza 3 DLC. Weird.

Ive actually been playing GT5 quite a bit these past few weeks. Its a great game. And its only $20 now if your looking for some good racing fun.

Polyphony knows how to make a trailer. Kinda makes its competitors look like shit.

Remember what they game looked like when it came out after all the nonsense? Bullshots indeed!

Both the Move and the Kinect were launched during 2010. I say that's some tough competition to beat, given how much quality games are being released for both this year. And, yes, I know that neither Move nor Kinect are technically games, but they will win 2013's 2010 GOTY because they are just that good.

GT5. My most disappointing game ever.

I picked up GT5 Complete Edition (or whatever they called it) on Black Friday for $10 but still haven't played it yet. I should probably fix that soon.

And that's for the XL edition which comes with all of the DLC up to the 2.0 update. It really is a much better game than it was at launch, a ton of stuff has been improved and fixed; it's one of the most improved games I've ever seen from patches, possibly the most on consoles.

The new Stingray is ugly.

God, remember Gran Turismo 5? That game came and went awful fast.

That's pretty harsh. As someone who has been playing the Gran Turismo series since GT2 on the original PSX, GT5 is a pretty great game in its own right. Does it have convoluted menus? Sure. Is there a steep learning curve? Of course.

Does it still hold up better than Forza? In my mind, yes.

Sorry, I uninstalled GT5 a long time ago. Reinstalling it would probably take me 2 days, so nope.

I remember when this game was never going to come out and then it did and it was a blip. Seems like not many people cared, but not my scene, so I am probably wrong.

Man, GT5 is a real nice looking game. Can't wait to see what Polyphony do on the PS4 with GT6.

I own a copy of GT5 and it is the only game i still play despite having "platinumed" it almost 2 years ago.

Unlike most developers PD supports their games and they have been updating it with dozen of new features/technology that wasn't included or even available at launch.

Perhaps we can see some unprofessional driving on unprofessional Friday?

As someone who's been playing GT since the first one, it was awful. The driving was still great (well, the asphalt stuff) but everything around it was so very bad. Like it was designed by people who haven't played a video game since 4 came out and have just heard about what games these days are like. And the premium car thing, oh man. I've heard it's a lot better now after updates but I was done with this game pretty quickly and had no desire to give it another chance. I loved that series, man. Loved it. :(

It's not supposed to look "like a Stingray". Stringray is a name given to a Corvette that is considered a radical change in the aesthetic design of the car, isn't it?

That Vette is badass. Looks like a Ferrari 599 on steroids e.g. the American version of the Ferrari 599.

Except that GT5 is Polyphony's latest game and you cannot have a FREE dlc for F3 (Yanno, XBL policies).

just like the new viper, ( which does look good ) i think the new vette takes a bit to much influence from european design.

i mean, glance at that frontend and you could mistake it for a ferrari 599/xx

Game sold over 8 million copies, I wouldn't call that a blip.

My problem with how the game look is that, yes, some parts looks absolutely fantastic, but some other parts look like a PS2 game. It just didn't seem to have the amount of polish it needed, which is a bit strange seeing as it was in production for what felt like 15 years.

I'm saying this as a HUGE fan of the series (who doesn't care about cars at all, which might seem a bit strange). GT5 just left me cold, which still dissapoints me.

What I hate about GT5 apart from 90% of the car models coming from the PS2 and the game just generally sucking is the sound effects, it's like they haven't changed the skidding noise since the Playstation and all the cars sound nothing like their real life counterparts.

This game is such a disaster. I played it only a few months ago for the first time. Downloaded all bazillion gigs of patches. Everything outside of the actual driving is still garbage. My god those menus...

Man this game was such a piece of shit. I've never been more disappointed with a racing game than with this one. I'm super glad Forza exists cause there's not much else going for car sims.

@chilibean_3: Maybe you should give it another chance anyway. Just once or twice. Perhaps you'll like it a little more.

in a way, it's cool that they're still even releasing DLC for GT5. i just wished that i liked the core game more than i do.. which isn't all that much.

Yea surprised there still coming out with DLC a couple years after it's release.
