OK....looks fine but what is the point of updating it for the Wii? I liked it already on the DS but not enough to buy it again with some improvements.

Never owned a Nintendo DS, never will.  I'm mostly glad they're finally going to release some handhelds on Wii.  It's cheap and easy for them and people who want it on handheld have it on there, people that don't buy them will buy this maybe.

Yeah, I know the quality will suck with a big tv vs little screen (or make the screen small like they did with that Final Fantasy CC Echos game), but I think there's a market for it.

I'd buy this and maybe the other Trauma Center DS games.  I'm sure there's a few others I'd buy (they'd better be $30 or less though)

I hope the game ends up being more than shameless nostalgia.

FINALLY A COOP MARIO GAME!!

It really baffles me that it took this long for a true Mario platformer to go CoOp. Its REALLY good news!

I have to say, this actually looks pretty sweet.  And as someone who played the DS NSMB, it doesn't look like an "update" or "remake" at all.  Looks more like a totally new game, just matching the "New Super Mario Bros." style.

If this is as good as the original New Super Mario Bros, I look forward to playing it.

Although "New" is a bit of a stretch, I think it looks alright. Maybe that's just the Mario fanboy in me though.

I love the Idea of these kind of co-op games. It's just, I which you could play them on multiple screens. Stretching the screen out newer seems to work all that well in my experience.

Yes this is clearly new content, not a rehash of the DS game.  Unless I'm crazy the original didn't have yoshi's in it.  Oh, and Nintendo will definitely never stop making Mario games, they offer a certain feel and vibe to them that is timelessly appealing that you just don't get in any other game.

Surprisingly, I am more pumped for this than Galaxy 2.

Co-Op is just YES. My thing is, judging from the low-end visuals I have to assume this is Wii-Ware? Anybody hear anything regarding that?

Maybe it was initially developed for the DS as NSMB2 but then changed into NSMB Wii? That would explain the kinda bland graphics and DS quality music.
It looks pretty awesome and seeing how great the DS game was, this wont disappoint either. Though it should be a wiiware game instead of a full-priced game if it isn't.

Man I kinda want this...   but I am just Mario-ed out. I mean I know the guy's an icon, but it's just a standby now. Anytime Nintendo wants to make a purely profit driven game they put forth another Mario. Doesn't anyone else realize this? Fuck.
