Ninja Gaiden 3 Launch Trailer

I forgot how "gamey" this series is, but the robot t-rex did a swell job reminding me. Looks alright.

MURDER IS A BURDEN...already turns me off. However, a durger is a murder burger. A burger so good, you'll want to commit murder. I can get behind that.

I've honestly got mixed feelings on this post-Itagaki Team Ninja. It's like someone wished on the mythical monkey's paw for him to be removed from the team, and the result is that we shifted from exploitative gore and giant bouncing chesticles to the opposite extreme of dull quick-time events and lots of uninteractive cinematics in the background that might as well be white noise. I'm hoping I'm wrong, but between the trailers and the quick look (and the announced online pass for multiplayer, ugh) I'm a little concerned about this new direction.

Trailer makes the game looks awesome but the Quick Look made it look bad so i'll wait for day one impressions to come out.

For reals? Aw man...I want to like this game SO BAD, this is one of my favorite series. I just hope they don't bone it up.

Let's explore the morality (I feel like I could use a better word than morality, but can't think of one right now...) of video game anti-heroes, because that's what we all wanted in the next Ninja Gaiden game. (referring the the part we saw in the GB quick look as well with the "OH IVE GOT A FAMILY PLEASE" thing)

I wonder what those various forms are. I bet it's like in black when you get Doku's sword and it's a slightly different version of the Dragon Sword. This is a potentially game ruining thing. One of the best things about 2 was the wide range of great weapons. I was expecting the best of those and hopefully a couple new ones. If it's as bad as it could be and DLC is the only way to get new weapons then man, that's terrible.

Like you i'm getting the game day one regardless, I have to know for myself. I'm hoping for the best.

i only said various form as in you won't be using only the Dragon Sword. you'll use Hayate's Jin-maru katana (or something like that) at some point and based off this trailer, it looks like we might get to use Genshin's cursed blade from Ninja Gaiden II. i hope that means that there's going to be some small differences between the katanas because that would make the most sense, kind of like how upgrading the Dragon Sword gave you more abilities the more you strengthened it.

by far one of my favorite parts of Ninja Gaiden II was the wide variety of weapons, and i have a feeling that not having those included with the retail package'll diminish some of the lasting value that NG3's story mode could have. i had a lot of fun playing through NGII several times because of switching up my weapons and even using one weapon for an entire playthrough.

possible game ruining thing? kinda. that's a bit much, but i hope the story mode isn't terrible to the point where it's not even able to support itself without different weapons, which i don't think is the case. regardless of one weapon or 50 000 weapons, i'm hoping for the best on the 20th. i don't really have the feeling that i'll be disappointed but i do have a feeling that it's gonna be something totally different from Team Ninja.

even if it sucks, at least i'll have that Dead or Alive 5 demo. there's no way they can mess that up.

Motion-controlled breast bounce is a thing of the past. Team Ninja are trying to be taken more seriously now, which is why they're introducing Virtua Fighter characters into Dead or Alive 5.
