So it models your face, but keeps it the same expression all the time. With Kinect tracking errors and the same facial expression at all times, I can't see this being terribly immersive for kids... or adults.

Also, I just noticed the girl in the screen grab is doing the people's eyebrow.

I love the part when they scan the kid's face into the game. His regular head is just replaced with a blurry mess.

All the magic of the Harry Potter universe... has been meticulously squeezed out and replaced with plastic, lifeless visages loosely based on the actors from the mediocre films. And it's a Kinect game. I'm sad now.

The soccer seems pointless haha! This game looks really dumb!

It's fascinating how the most profitable non-game intellectual properties are translated in to games with no conceptual consideration. I guess making shovelware for unconcerned parents or naive kids is more profitable than making a good game, or at least less risky.

I don't know how to respond to this kindly, so get fucked. This looks like hot garbage.

My point was that licensed properties, particularly Harry Potter, could translate well in to a substantial video game. The LEGO adaptations are the only ones to take any steps in that direction, though.

It's probably pretty hard to see the decade-out-of-date graphics and obvious mishmash of hackneyed Kinect mini-games from up on your high horse, though.

That looks so intuitive and fun. I would know because I am a coregamer after all.

They're probably recycling a lot of it. The Quidditch chunk was probably from the Xbox/PS2 Quidditch game. Same basic gameplay engine with different models or something, most likely.

Thank god. I thought, with the movie series ending, and the last LEGO Harry Potter done, Giantbomb would never get another Harry Potter to quick look. But after this, I demand more!
