On The Green With Sim Golf - Part 1

Wow, SimGolf. I remember playing this less than legally during Kazaa's heyday when I was like 12. Fun game, I think I'll see if there's anywhere I can buy it now.

Never played Sim Golf but I see a lot of cross over with Theme Hospital and Zoo Tycoon.

Its the renaissance of management games - the time for Sim Golf 2 is now!

American retailers do the same, converting new games to used. I worked as a manager at a Gamestop for a while and this happened all the time.

Gosh the nostalgia is so strong in this video. I love me some SimGolf. Been too long since I last played it.

Wow the smile on Jeff's face when Sid Meyer said they had been working on a dinosaur game was like watching him turn back into a child.

AAAND I just ordered Sim Golf.

I got SimGolf as part of a Sim game pack and didn't think I'd give it much time. I threw it in to see what it was and ended up finding that it was likely my favorite of the pack. Great, great game.

The "10 years ago we were in this building playing SimGolf" realization was extraordinary.

Awesome interview, awesome times.

I remember playing this game quite a bit back in the day. It was good fun but not quite as deep as say Civ or Alpha Centauri, if I recall correctly.

Still, I'd pay $10-15 for a steam or gog version. $40-50 for SimGolf2 or CivGolf or XGOLF :)

I love how deep Ryan gets into this, you can tell he really loves this game :')

Still a great game. Sucks that I cant seem to find my copy anywhere :( Loved that Sid called in the "show".. Hope to see more of these classic PC-games played in the future.

Sid Meier is a god among game developers.

It's pretty amazing how the votes have doubled since the stream - at the start of it (yeah, I posted the link in the chat) the number of votes was in the 370-380 range, now it's 702, and shows up as the second most voted game of the week (second only to System Shock 2).

I used to just invite the best players over to my course and then edit the courses holes midshot so their balls landed in hazards every time.

It's all coming back. This game is amazing, but I'm pretty sure the copy I had was broken :/ I don't think it ever saved my games, and yet I still managed to play the shit out of it.
