To paraphrase Rex Kramer (Robert Stack) from 'Airplane!': Vinny, that was probably the worst 'Tetris' playing in the history of Giant Bomb, but some of us here -- particularly me -- would like to buy you a drink and shake your hand.

I couldn't think of a better way to send Vinny off to New York than with all of them sitting around and playing pretty much every competitive local multiplayer game they've been into over the past few years (but no Windjammers, hilariously enough). Gang Beasts never fails to be entertaining.

Really hard to watch. Do they go more into what all vin-dawg is going to be doing? Maybe in the last Bombcast? I have not listened to the last couple ones. I hope things don't change too much, but either way I'm here to stay with yall!

I love the whole gang, but the interplay between Ryan, Vinny and Jeff was what brought me to this site in the first place. The fact that the band has in a way split up is pretty scary, and I just realized how empty the West Coast office will be until they bring in some new hires. On the other hand, I can't wait to see Alex's dry humor bouncing off of Vinny and vice versa, and I'm sure the two will pump out some incredible stuff. Alex has been holding it down in NY for so long now, and at this point the GBNY stuff is definitely what I'm looking forward to most. Also can't wait to see who they bring into the SF office, and if maybe any of them will be familiar faces. It's just scary stuff, is all.

I have that SNES controller Vinny was using at the start, i think. Mine is a promotional one for SFII. It had all the character's special moves programmed in and you could assign them to the extra small face buttons. My friends didn't like it when I used that controller when i played street fighter with them. Something about cheating.

Also the presence of pineapple will make even the most amazing pizza inedible to me. Pineapple on pizza is much like pickles on a hamburger, for me, in that it cannot merely be picked off as its very presence taints the taste of all surrounding toppings. xp

I'll miss what Vinny brings to the site working with the guys in SF but I have no doubts that he can make great content anywhere. Looking forward to whatever he comes up with. I have to say though, my dumb hope of another Jeff and Vinny ER is lost. :[

I can't believe this is happening. This site is getting whittled down and split apart and I don't like it. Why can't everyone just be in the same place? How am I going to get my Jeff and Vinny humor now? They better just hire Danny at this point. They'll need him to make UPF worth watching sans Vinny.

I know Vinny isn't actually leaving the site, but dammit it's not going to be the same without him in the San Fran office. All the best in New York, Vinny! We're all looking forward to the content you and Alex will produce!

I'm so hyped for GBNY. I love watching new stuff get built from the ground up. Also Alex has been putting out some of my favourite video content lately, and I can't wait to see what he and Vinny will bring to the table. Whatever those guys do, I'm sure it will be incredible.

That said, I'm sad to see Vinny leaving the West Coast offices. He's been such a great part of the video content and the Bombcast and it'll be weird not having him there for those things. However, thankfully there's still a wealth of great and funny talent there - plus the new editor is coming in and there's always the likes of Danny, Chris, and Peter (and possibly more) around to join in on the fun when needed.

Best of luck with the journey Vinny. I can't wait to see you bringing the big game in NY.

So what's the progress on building a robot body with a giant screen for a head and speakers attached to it for Vinny to appear on from a Skype call and control remotely with his tricaster?

I was super tentative about the whole thing as I read the announcement, but when the Bombcast description mentioned it, I held off judging it until I could hear Vinny describe it himself, and hearing just how excited he was for it was enough to get me super excited for it as well.

It's amazing that Gang Beasts continues to deliver. That's a solid product. My favorite moment is when Jeff hung out on the ledge, and then Vinny made him pay for it. That was amazing.
