Perhaps you could bring on some of the West Coast guys or other personalities as guests to discuss news with?

As hilarious as name suggestions like "The Morning Dump" are, this show seems a little more sedate when compared to other features on the site. I'd like to see a chill title like Good Morning GiantBomb or something.

More please Alex and Patrick! I love the idea of discussing the news in more detail now that Patrick is no longer on the bombcast. Also being from the UK, it's great that there is live content that fits into my daily life.

Can't we just call it "Wake-up Club"? I'm sure Sony wouldn't mind.

I thought about getting a Wii U at launch last year but... I dunno... didn't pull the trigger and obviously this year its PS4 for me then maybe Xbox One in the spring or just build a PC by then and get a One in '15 or later.. but unless the Wii U has something completely amazing and fantastic then who knows. I hope Nintendo still makes it.

I wouldn't have guessed that Alex and Patrick would have such a good dynamic. This is going to be a grand regular feature.

Personally for me the Wii U is last on my list... unlike the OG Wii, which once I got a 360 a year later since I couldn't snag a ps3. Hearing all the hype of the Wii at the time got me to want to buy one since it was so hard to find. So hearing about Wal-Mart only having X amount of consoles on whatever day got me in the hype of buying one so I eventually did. And proceeded to have Mario Galaxy, Zelda, SSX(which was actually the sole reason why I bought one), and No More Heroes. I think those were the only games I've ever owned. Amazing games for me, except for SSX no matter how much I wanted to love it, but with the Wii U all it had was Zombie U which had me intrigued but in the end, its the last console I'll purchase pending a price drop next winter or the following spring. Who knows, hopefully it'll change next spring because I'm pretty much half n half on the One and Ps4 and I'll only get one console this fall.

I like it! You could maybe incorporate the silhouette of the GiantBomb bomb. And what if the "press start" was a little smaller and the title was bigger and centered?

Yes, more of this. This is exactly what I want to see. This once or twice a week would be content I would look forward to. I get how the news section on teh site is curated and selective, but it would be awesome if some stories were expanded or if daily/weekly 'topical news' could be covered in these video segments.

As for the title or name of the show...how about "DIP Switch". The show much like a 'electronic switch' closes a connection, the connection of news content and the podcast. The names/titles of the shows always seem fun and memorable here (Bombcast, Dump Truck, etc.) I think Patrick & Alex's DIP Switch would fit in.

Hey man, I'm down with Alex and Patrick reading Kotaku, and talking about what actual news gets reported.

As soon as Batman was brought up I started wondering who would be Batman and who would be Robin, Patrick or Alex?

By the way I officially endorse this segment.

On the name, I'm thinking you need like a radio beginning-of-the-show mantra style thing, maybe something like "You're listening to KNAM, Klepek and Navarro in the morning!".

Or, maybe not.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Fuck Phil Fish. He is a toxic personality (or at least his public schtick is) and this industry is better off without him. He took everybody who supported him and bought his broken game (although apparently amazing, but I'll never know because his patch wiped my save), and told us all to fuck off and buy it again on PC because he didn't want to cough up $40K for his screw up. Everything that went wrong with that game was everybody's fault but his, and as flawed as MS' patch policies are they are in principle crafted to prevent this exact thing from happening.

Call me a jaded consumer all you want, but no big company would get away with this, and I can't think of any indie dev that would actually treat their customers and supporters so poorly. All that ever came out of him was hate, and while it sucks that it got so personal towards him this whole thing is a shining example of that you get what you give.

Sorry for that, but it pissed me off that people treat him as some sort of god (when really it's just wanting to gawk at the trainwreck) when there are so many indie devs who have done far more, and have far more well constructed and informative opinions on the industry.

Loving this video though! Look forward to it becoming a regular thing! :)

I don't mean to sound like a hater, but I really didn't anticipate liking this. I did. Way to create thoughtful content at an earlier hour for us Midwesterners.

Guys this is worth considering. This is solid. Works for Patrick being in Chicago (Breakfast Club), Jeff being old enough to remember it (As am I), and Alex (I don't know).
