@ShadowVirus:  I'm pretty sure this was filmed before the big live live show.

After watching this interview, I'm definitely buying this game.

Posted by needforswede

interesting, I may not end up buying this game...but I would totally watch a documentary on the making of it

Posted by Grissefar

Wow you filmed that panic breakout - it's pretty great.

I loved the "What? There are no rumers!" part.

Last video of the stache

You know when you're watching a good interview when the game doesn't interest you much but it's still entertaining to watch.

Posted by MartinG

Haha, that PR dude in the flashback segment of the video must've started cold sweating when Randy asked him if they could talk about the rumours :-)

Posted by SkullcrusherMountain

OH GOD THE MUSTACHE.  MAKE IT STOP.

How are you people so fast? Anyway, I'm falling in love with Gearbox and Randy
(I already loved Jeff.)

I love Randy Pitchford

Pitchford seems like the nicest guy ever.

Randy's the man.

A game that is coming out in 2011 has a railgun.  I'm totally buying this game.

The game could come out and been purchased by me and I still wouldn't believe this game came out.

love the music in this interview.... gah!

Posted by JJGIANT

I was fully over this game before hearing Pitchford's story, his love of Duke seems truly genuine. As the Giant Bomb guys have said before, the man really knows how to sell a game. He doesn't do it knowingly, he's just so nice you really believe in the things he says.

It's easy to see why his company his been so prosperous. It's no secret that successful companies are built primarily on the passion of owners to succeed, and to do make something great.  I'm going to buy DNF just because they are involved.

Gearbox working on Halo 4; confirmed. This dude seems to genuinely less than three Duke Nukem, and it's nice that someone who actually gives a damn putting in the work to make sure that all those years didn't go completely to waste (just mostly). Balls of steel. Ball-ball-ball balls of steel.

Randy Muthafuckin Pitchford!!!

Great video, great interview, great guy.

Posted by Bradical64

This is a great story, I only hope that they sell enough to make this a worthy investment. I wish more companies created games with this kind of loyalty.

Posted by Druminator

Ya know, this game better be good haha.

Never gonna come out lol.

I got really into him while Borderlands where in the making. Still like the guy!

I'll believe this is really after I play it, beat it, and am watching the credits.

And Duke needs a hot babe as his co-op partner.  Or 3!

Exactly what I was thinking.  I have no real connection to the character and what I do know of Duke doesn't draw me to his games at all but I was almost taken aback by Randy's love/reverence for Duke.  The perfect guy in the perfect place at the perfect time to make it all happen.

Buying two copies. One for the 360 and one for the PC.
