There were some genuinely awesome questions here, especially the last 2 but the bad questions make this really hard to watch only to be saved by Jeff and Patrick. It's just cringe inducing to reference in-jokes from the site or something that happened not an hour ago. You have a room full of people that are fans of GB, why not just ask them their opinion on your question while sitting down or in line before you make an ass of yourself?

if you're gonna ask a question then don't have the worst nerd voice and nerd intonation as if you're delivering a terrible nerd joke. it's really hard to watch

Patrick should definitely play Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. It's a dungeon crawler but it's way less hardcore and grindy.

A little too much. Yeah, I understand some of the question are not great but no need to insult the person and make them feel bad. Look at how Jeff handled the guy who asked about the one more day to live question. I like Alex but was off put by this is all.

Bleh. I swear I'm usually not the type of guy to hate on staff, but Alex was way too... what's the word... intense.

Haven't pressed play yet, is this as cringe worthy as previous Q&A panel sections?

Keeping with that "let people on the internet know you like stuff" thing, awesome panel bombcrew. I thought Alex was fine and don't think he should feel bad at all. Seeing all six of them together is always a treat. They killed it, especially Ryan. Could have used more Brad but that's fairly normal. No use crying over swallowed milk.

Oh, and super pumped about the Eve Online Fan Fest content later!

Ask your question, and then let them answer. I hate how many people turn their "question" into an attempt to act chummy with the guys, resulting in them rambling for way too fucking long, and then either asking a bad question, or essentially going "Eh? EH? I'm just like you guys! You wanna go get dinner together after this is over?! I'm like the friend you guys never had!"

Also, your ability to reference Giant Bomb memes doesn't impress them.

its pretty frustrating that during the e sports question, a lot of the criticisms about the organization and coverage of competitive gaming are things that (in my opinion, of course) that the Fighting Games scene is doing right, but is never recognized for. the Road To Evo tournament series provides a pretty clear "season" style narrative for a casual fans to follow, without having to be watching streams every day. I also dont think the MOBA or RTS scenes really showcase the "emotional arc" and "character stories" half as good as the FGC. there's stuff like the Mike Ross documentary, I Got Next, Fight For Youth, Three Green Bars, King Of Chinatown, and much more that focuses almost solely on the human element. its just a shame that because a few people in the community do some bad things that the rest of the scene gets a poor reputation.

I'm not saying you have to be deadly serious, we are talking about video games here, but don't think you have to go toe to toe with the guys in terms of humor or sarcasm. The best questions, like the last one, were great because they were clearly stated and evolved naturally into a humorous back and forth after answered.

Just my two cents, don't want to sound preachy.

I like Jeff and Patrick's thoughtful answer to that "should I go back into video games" question after Alex's rude outburst. xD

These questions need a time limit. Just ask your question, nobody needs to hear your two minute backstory.

Bravo to anyone willing to get up in front of the crowd and pose a question, that shit ain't easy. The old video game enthusiast community isn't known for it's charisma and public speaking ability, that took balls.

I loved Patrick in this. He nad really intelligent answers without fooling around too much or making jokes just for the sake of them. Overall, thank you Giantbomb for being so awesome, fantastic team.

And you could tell that the entire visible audience was just looking up longingly during Drew Scanlon's bit.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks Alex is kind of an asshole here. It's like he's stuck in the 16 year old mentality of loud and mean = funny.

This had to be the best Q&A so far. I really don't understand what some of you are complaining about. Well other than Alex raising his snark levels to critical, but that's his thing.

Also totally adorable of that guy making shirts for Vinny/Max.

I'm the doofus in the green shirt who asked about Jeff getting a big bunch of feelings from a game he previewed.

For the record, I think the guys might've misunderstood my question, though I got some responses (particularly Vinny) that kind of hit the point. What I wanted was the guys to brush away cynicism for a sec and talk about a recent moment in video games that really reminded them why they wanted their job in the first place. I'm a huge cynical prick, and it's easy to never really act like you enjoyed something or were moved by it. Jeff saying seeing new, cool stuff can still make him tingly made me realize I haven't for a while, and I wanted to hear about their personal recent experiences (if there were any). They kinda took it in a "Previews are cool, huh?" direction at points, but it was still really cool to sorta get them out of their typical all-nonsense personas.

Naturally, I butchered the question, so I don't blame the guys. Just figured I'd post my peace before anybody (rightfully) jokes at my obvious ineptitude. I promise to try and be better prepared next year.

You know, he was actually pretty entertaining this time around, when I remember him being nearly insufferable in panels and podcasts of yesteryear. Still a bit of a dick, but I've warmed up to him.

This is the reason why I'm happy to donate a few dollars to support Giant Bomb.

It's never easy to be put on the hot seat and you guys always pull it off with a terrific sense of humor and a whole lot of heart.

Please make sure you keep doing exactly what you've been doing.
