PAX Prime 2012: The Giant Bomb Panel

Well damn, was gonna fap, but now I have this to watch. Guess fapping will need to wait.

They need to cut some under the table deal to get a 3 hour panel going so it can match up to their usual Bombcasts

Well that was worth not going to bed for. Honestly though, if the CAH expansion is all just Giant Bomb jokes I'm not sure how much use it will get because I play that game with people who are decidedly not into video games.

Fantastic Panel! Definitely a ton of stand out moments. Wish I coulda been there to get an autograph from "David Lang".

As great as this was, the Cards Against Humanity panel topped this. Ryan and those guys were hilarious. Wish I had brought my camera, since no one video taped that panel.

Also, I can totally see myself in the front row over there.

I have to go to college now and can't watch it but I'll be wondering all day, why does Jeff have what looks like jizz on his face ? ha ha

Yeah I was there and the "What's a Roosterteeth?" answer was the funniest fucking thing I've heard since "Duke has 2 dicks" a few years back.

They weren't really clear here, but they said on the Bombcast that it won't just be Giant Bomb inside jokes, It'll be more like a normal CAH expansion except with cards submitted by the GB community and chosen in part by the GB staff.

I'm in the opposite position, everyone I play with knows a fair amount about Giantbomb, so I'll be happy to see the couple of nods and winks and references to the site.

good panel, even considering they didn't plan shit. not amazing or enlightening or anything, but a nice, chill 1 hour shoot the shit type of thing.

Except that fucker! They should've given the Bombcrew bats and let them go 40 cents on the guy to discourage people from trying to get over their stupid inside jokes rather than asking questions which people actually would want to hear an answer from.

Red shirt guy who begged for donuts and rude guy talking with his mouth full were pretty dire as well, but good on you rest of the question askers! Thank you for being engaging and keeping it about the Bombcrew and not trying to get yourselves over.

So I was wondering what that was all about too. I ended up finding their panel on twitch.tv and the part he was talking about. Was pretty much iTunes had some "Vote for your favorite gaming podcast" thing and the winner would be featured on the front page or w/e. Roosterteeth won with like 20k votes and Giant bomb came in 3rd with 500 votes and he said what seem jokingly, "Suck it Gerstmann". Which is funny because they didn't even try and came in 3rd, where I'm sure Roosterteeth spammed the hell out of their viewers to vote for them. But whatever, like Jeff said they have better things to do then to push some popularity contest.

But yeah, as always, everything went downhill when the Q&A started.

Giant Bomb would fuck up Roosterteeth.

Man, I was almost in tears from the 40 cents story.

It's the only panel I made it to, and frankly, it was definitely worth the wait.

I offered Brad some money since he said he had limited cash, but he said no. Ah well, sure he had plenty of ways to get by over the weekend. Sorry about your predicament, Brad.

that was freaking awesome. Q&A wasn't bad this time, I'm so happy someone asked about the Rooster Teeth thing, I know it was a joke I just always wanted a giant bomb / rooster teeth crossover.

I wonder what happened to John Drake cause he wasn't on the harmonix panel, best panel ever!
