PAX Prime 2014: The Giant Bomb Panel

The panel was a roller coaster ride of awesomeness. Like one with 160 degree turns and that goes underground. Fucking loved it. Big ups to @Drewbert for all it took to get this thing together.

Man, I kind of dislike how silent the crowd got at times, especially at the end. The audience at PAX East just seemed a lot more fun.

Another great panel, guys. Jeff's just a natural at this.

I love how Dan was really put off about the sock burning story from Patrick. I'm surprised he didn't immediately counter with a story about burning his pants while still wearing them or something.

During the beat down I was hoping for Dave Lang to come out and go full Sandman.

Goes more or less away after 7 minutes. PAX fucked up with their recording equipment so Drew had to cut the video using sound from the boom mics on their cameras, which isn't exactly ideal :)

I believe GB was in the largest room Prime had (outside of the main stage). It was SUPER wide (like most Prime rooms) where the largest room at East was super deep. I don't think the video captures just how wide the room was.

I can only assume so but around that same time Phil Fish's Twitter account and website were hacked whereby his banking details, passwords, and other information was publicly exposed. Then there was the matter with Zoe Quinn and her ex-boyfriend as well as a fake bomb threat specifically targeting the president of SOE.

Jeff is right, this has been a problem for a very long time and it's actually probably better for women now than it's ever been for jobs due to rights and people fighting for them but it's also a time where arseholes can be much more vocal. If you wanted to tell someone in the game industry "Hey, you fucking suck" (and that's being mild), it wasn't really possible.

So Firewatch is Smokey The Bear the video game?
