do people actually  play this ?

That's a pretty bad pirate accent.

Some quality voice acting they've got here.

I love how they try to include the player characters' incoherent mumbling as dialogue.

I want a real pirate game. One where I can slit the throats of the captains 
of captured ships & rape/pillage various towns.  Get the towns people to 
load up my pirate ship with all of the goods I stole from them & then dispatch
them like a good pirate. Arrrr!!

Couldn't stop laughing at the Pirates of the Caribbean music. 

It's like how 3D Dot Game Heroes is to Zelda... 
 
Can we expect this to be better or worse than Pirates of the Caribbean online?

Wow, what shitty voice acting. This also looks like a bad cloned of Sid Meier's Pirates!.

Holy shit, just loaded this up after half a year...it's way worse! just a messy micro-transaction nightmare! everything in the game that was even remotely good, is tarnished, and some of it no longer exists, i have a ton of stuff you cant even get anymore. They havent even bothered to clean up the old stuff they abandoned.
 
There's no point to the game, none, no reason for anything when there's like...2 vague currencies with pointless items to be bought with both, with no real explanation of what anything does anymore. Good for them that they have found the audience that is happy to be suckered by all of it

Haven't played free Realms in a while...looks like it will be a while longer.

After trying a couple hours with Free Realms & ignoring all the store/ads going on, the game itself is rather interesting. You have a dozen different professions to cycle through & plenty of minigames for buying things. The combat seems rather universal to start where the medic/warrior/mage/brawler/ninja all seem to tear through people at the same rate. The minikart racing was minikart racing using the keyboard, nothing too different about it. Overall not a bad mmo from the look of it as it's free & online through the web broswer, though I think I'll stick with Star Trek Online but Free Realms (as long as you don't put any money in it unless you REALLY like playing it a lot) as a free MMO is a good choice & I've definitely seen worse off free MMOs out there.
