I'm a little excited. I loved, loved, loved the original two games, but never played The Cartel for obvious reasons.

This looks more like the first game, which is a good thing in my books.

Wow they really can't pin down what they want Juarez to be can they? Oh well screw it, at least they're always trying something new.

Wow the actual visuals [granted it is a compressed web video] look bland. I really liked the first game. Too bad none of the following lived up to the promise of that first one.

I really think it would be a much more interesting game if they actually went all out with the highly stylized comic inspired visuals seen in the trailer. Thorough the whole game, not just cutscenes. That alone can go a very long way to make what will likely be an average game into something darn cool. Too bad they wont.

Gamefly has this for $15 pre-order on the PC right now, and it comes with a free copy of Bound in Blood as a bonus. Not too bad, Bound in Blood was great, so here's hoping Gunslinger is less like The Cartel and more like Bound.

Shoot dudes, but with hats! This looks very spaghetti (kilbasa?). Maybe Techland can redeem themselves after the Cartel and Dead Island. But, they'll never be able to top Reverend Ray.

The art style and direction really make me wish Faith and a .45 would of been released. It seems like they have a full grasp of their engine seeing as the trailer showcases some impressive game play animations. I am interested more than I ever have been in a Call of Juarez game.

I can't let go of RDR. That game will haunt me for years. The animations and that world...still playing online now and then. I want the source code for the next one injected into my veins through nanomachines.

Just saw Django the other night and the blood splatter effect is highly reminiscent of the VFX in that movie. Thought the first two weren't that bad, might give this one a go.

But joking aside, from what I've read in previews this could be a neat little downloadable FPS but then again, if I want to play a western themed game that has shooting in it I could just as easily put in RDR and the experience would probably be more satisfying.

Red Dead Revolver > Red Dead Redemption

For me, the main problem with the last cowboy COJ game was that the characters were utterly unlikable. I had no interest in playing the role of a pair of cocks like the McCall's , if I could have turned the gun on myself in Bound in Blood I would have!

The song was like they wanted to use Johnny Cash's "When the Man Comes Around" but could only afford the guitar part, not the words.

What? Haha, no. I will always prefer Revolver over Redemption in every category, even with all its glitchiness. I wish they didn't have the same name, not because Redemption is bad or that I hate it, but it has nothing to do with Revolver besides it being a western and there is a DLC pack with Revolver characters.

@somedelicook: Well there is a big difference between liking one more than the other and saying one is a better game than the other which is what I was reacting to. I'm sure that you may enjoy Revolver more but there is no way on this green Earth that anyone can objectively say that Revolver was a better game. (which is what I got from your RDRedemption < RDRevolver comment)

Whoever did the drawing parts for this trailer really doesn't know much about guns or ammunition I am guessing. The guns were shooting the bullets with the casings still attached... ?!?

Revolver and Redemption have about as much to do with each other as like...Final Fantasy and Final Fantasy XII. I don't think it hurts the name at all, mainly because Revolver wasn't really a big game in any sense, and Redemption was a massive success. While I liked Revolver when it came out, it was just a solid game I sort of forgot about with the new generation right around the corner as well with the release of Gun (which wasn't some great game really but still, and the first Call of Juarez the next year.)

I thought it was pretty cool how they riffed on Revolver to make a totally different game, though. But something like Redemption I can get lost in doing so much, somewhere between Zelda and Elder Scrolls levels of exploration; but Revolver was more arcade-y action game. Apples and oranges...though it is sad that the series is pretty dead in the water. A PC port could have let Redemption live on forever. Hopefully when a GTA V PC version drops crazed fans can make a crazy RDR mod/conversion.
