Prototype 2 Trailer Reminds You What Happened In Prototype

All i care about in my murder simulators is new ways to fuck shit up.. shallow, but satisfying

I never understood the love for Infamous 1 and 2.  They are by no means awful but I honestly can't say I thought that they were great fun either.  They have terrible characters, terrible stories and the character is far too 'sticky' during traversal.  At least in Prototype traversal felt a lot more smooth and faster.  Also Cole is so weak compared to Mercer in Prototype.  In Prototype I feel like a mother fucking god laying the smack down on fools.  With Cole he never really gets to a supergod status even with his stronger powers, he still feels weak. The sense of power progression is very lacking.
 
I'm not going to have a go at fans of either Infamous or Prototype afterall you like what you like, just that I simply had a lot more fun with Prototype and would consider it a better game.  Really can't wait for Prototype 2.  But hell I think The Saboteur is one of the most underrated open world games in recent years with the funniest main character of them all (with superb dialogue) and I don't know a single person who also thinks that! :D

I really liked the traversal in the first Prototype. Just the way you move was incredibly fun. 
I spent hours ascending buildings in full armor then turning the armor off just long enough to glide to another building across the street and turn on the armor again on contact with the facade and all this while tanks and helicopter shoot at you. Damn ... well I guess I'm interested.

Played the first one just few month's back. Game had some neat ideas, but it was pretty mediocre. If this does same leap as AC2 did over the first AC I am sold.

Yeeeaaa.... no. I've recommended Prototype to pretty much all of my friends who can get their hands on it because it's just so crazy and fun but certain aspects of Prototype really drag the experience down.

- The sidequests are just awful and don't ever really take advantage of your powers.

- The story is all over the place and I mean all over the place. The devs did a unique twist whereby killing certain people would reveal more of the story but they aren't told in order and there are loads to find and there's a decent story if you want to go find it but this is too much work for not much satisfaction for more people.

- The graphics look like a high res Xbox game

- Alex Mercer is just a dick. Even when you make Cole from inFamous evil, he still isn't even as much of a dick as Alex. He's a completely selfish douchebag and makes it hard for the player to connect to him or care why he should succeed.

@EpicReflex: I'm not sure I have enough experience with Infamous to make that call but I'm gonna have to agree. Prototype was so fucking underrated - it isn't even funny. To this day I'm not quite sure if I'm just crazy wrong about the game or other people were just too eager to dismiss it. Either way I'm excied for the follow-up.

Yeah Prototype is a fun game no doubt but overall quality is below that of Infamous. Still looking forward to this one.

Weak trailer...story wasn't the reason I played Prototype.  I want to see 3 minutes of the new and better looking ways I'll be murdering civilians, military, monsters and anything else that moves in Prototype 2 :D

Only thing I remember enjoying about the first game was the live action cinematics. To this day I have no idea what compelled me to go buy that game when I did.

is this amount of cheese necessary and on purpose?

I'm pretty sure Prototype is the only unsealed console game on my shelf that I have not finished the story of. I should probably fix that.
