On topic, why wouldn't I just play Battlefield 3? And I noticed "aimed at the Asian market" and it seems like the only thing they did for them is put a mech in there.

Warfare is slightly better then using Warfighter.

If it has the anti cheat tech Crysis 2 had this game is doomed from the getgo.

It's really more of a future warfare game though. Crazy tech goggles and mechs and personal drones aren't exactly modern yet.

This sounds super original. I've never heard of a FPS where you could play as a engineer, sniper, medic or rifleman.

I would say that they need a new art director, but it's obvious that they never had one to begin with.

Look cool. hard to tell from the trailer if its going to be a knock off of other games of similar type. CrysisWars did look pretty awesome so this could be that level of amazing. But bf3 kinda trumped that. Hard to tell where this will fall. hopefully be different. I'll defiantly give it a try and hey, its free so why not.

Crytek's take on smallscale Battlefield. Crytek. Battlefield. Battlecry MUST have already been taken. The mech is obviously just there to say "Hey guys. This isn't just BF3 or MW3!" Cry of Duty would have been an amazing title :-D

I thought it was very standard, familiar (boring) stuff until the very end at which point I said "Oh look someone has a toy." I don't have any hope for this since it's competing against the CODs and BFs of the world. Still, if it comes out on consoles, I might take a casual look.

Also, "Warface" is just a horrible name. Yeah yeah I know, "WARpaint" and "gameFACE", but come on!

Aren't people tired of shooting each other yet?

If I were to base my judgement exclusively from this trailer, I'd say it looks derivative and doesn't really differentiate itself from other military shooters.

I mean, there's a robot. But if you're a seasoned gamer that doesn't really get your attention anymore.

But I have seen gameplay, and it looks very tight and solid. I don't even like shooters these days, but Warface mildly sparked something in me that was reminiscent of how I felt during my high school Counter-Strike days.

Like Tribes Ascend, it seems like they are trying to strip away the bullshit next gen quirks and features and give players a platform to just shoot stuff and have fun.

If the game plays as good as it looks from the tech demos, this might be a worthy contender in the market. Regardless, I enrolled in the beta and I hope it plays well.

In todays videogame market this looks Generic. As. Shit.

If this was five years ago I forgive them for believing "Hey people like modern military shooters, let's give them another!". But it's been tried a dozen or more times already.

Perhaps the free to play factor will give them an edge, but history tells us this game will be buried in no time.

I reserve judgement. By the numbers games have impressed before (Battlefield 3, Crysis 2) and unique games have disappointed (brink, lost planet 2, wolfenstein). This reminds me of Mag, and that was popular. Besides, it's free 2 play, so it's not like you're going to lose anything by giving it a change (except for an hour).

Is that Ellen McClain? Whoever it is, she sounds so much like the TF2 announcer!

Seems kinda interesting, it'll be nice to see a free to play with some decent production.
