well played

Was a huge fan of The Ship so I picked this up right away! I like it, especially for the price.

Lack of Jeff in recent Quick Looks is depressing.

Posted by ApolloBob

I suck at games like this too, Brad.  :(

Edited by FunExplosions

Awesome. Someone mentions wanting a quick look of this, his thread gets like five hits, but he gets his wish.

Damn... that looks borrrrrrring, and clumsy... and cheap.

Posted by countinhallways

This game seems interesting, especially at 400 points. Although this quick look doesn't paint it in all that positive a light I imagine it is a pretty good representation of someones first couple of hours with the game. The mechanics seem like they would take some getting used to, but they are also what sets the game apart as something worth checking out.

as much as i like him, sometimes (and especially here) watching brad try to play a game can be infuriating.  lovely voice though

Jeff is away on a secret assignment.

perhaps not the best platform they picked

Brad doesn't get this game.
He is also very bad at it.

Posted by Ramyun

The shooting looked pretty lacking and clumsy but you know, five bucks for an interesting concept, don't think I'll get it though.

They should have done a quicklook for the PC version instead. Not only does it support up to 16 player matches but the community itself is much larger.

This made me want to reinstall the ship

Brad is so tepid at the beginning of this QL, running away from his quarry. And then he's running away from everyone. And I think you might lose points for killing someone for no reason. Which could be why several people in the first game were high in the negatives at the end of the game. The game looks like it could be fun, and does have that Brotherhood style assassinate this person while someone else is hunting you quality mixed in with a Team Fortress 2 visual style. For $5 it could be fun as a distraction, would have been nice to have known about the game before it was released. But then, when the studio has folded I guess they aren't too interested in marketing it. This could have been a perfect game to get people into with a cheap price, and then release new maps/characters/hats via cheap DLC every few weeks to build up a strong game with a larger fan base. But it looks like it will just be an interesting little experiment.

Damn those guards! Looks pretty fun actually, might check it out myself.

Yes, watching brad not understand what was going on was pretty annoying to sit through.  Thank God Ryan picked it up

Posted by Osaladin

I love these QLs and I'm not complaining, but It's kind of lame when they figure out how to play a particular game in the QL, it can make it way less entertaining early on, and just make the game look bad unnecessarily.

Posted by Blair

This really isn't doing it for me.  I don't like what I saw.

Posted by Pop

they should of played the PC version.

Brad is bad at this game to the point that this quick look only hurts the product.  With Deadly Premonition we all knew how it was supposed to go down and Brad just didn't have the hand-eye coordination.  Here, I'm five minutes in and I have no clue what you do in this game, why you do what you do in this game, any sort of controls, any sort of notes or opinions, or what I'm looking at.  It's just two people sheepishly mumbling while things happen on a screen.

Ryan is the best, keeps the energy up.

He's trapped in  a Black Ops black hole.

They ideal setup would be for one of them to have played it a little bit before(to know the game), and the other to be completely new to it. That way the game gets played competently and you still get that first impression mayhem that a quick look needs.

If you play a Valve/Source game on console you are doing it WRONG.

Just got to love bikini girls with machine guns. For the low price I know I'll get it as it does look like a lot of fun & really enjoying the look of the game.

original 'the ship' was so fun

I might be just me, but I've never heard of the Ship until people started talking about it after the AC:B QL, so I'm wondering how popular was that game really?

I mean this looks okay, but... ehh I already have TF2 and I'm stoked for Brotherhood.

For me, it got old a little fast.

Yes. this game looks like it could be fun with precise controls - something this console port did not seem optimized for.

By the way, they mentioned the lack of blood - that is quite strange since the trailers on Steam are somewhat bloody, and it's PEGI 16 according to those.

Well, €4.99 on Steam, will probably pick it up.

When the ship hits the fan...

RECORD TIMING DEATH WOW!

Brad, you're GARBAGE at shooters.

Posted by Chadster

The beeping noise that the timer makes sounds exactly like my alarm clock and it's really freaking me out.

Posted by fisk0
@Chadster:
and exactly like the "Your commander just exploded and you lost the match" sound in Total Annihilation.
Posted by fisk0

By the way, looks like they at least learned from their mistake with The Ship when it comes to pricing. The Ship was too expensive and was extremely confusingly packaged - You could buy a complete package including the praised multiplayer mode and singleplayer - you could also buy the singleplayer mode separately - but there was no way to purchase the multiplayer mode if you did that.

Posted by ucankurbaga

Can they actually make this QLs with someone that knows how to play??

Posted by Orange_Pork

Ryan is about to stab Brad in the face.

Posted by CaptainTightPants

Seems like it could be funner with more people, which the Steam version has right?
