Even with bugs this looks pretty good.

Its not out, still two weeks for bug fixing.

I was already more or less sold on this game a long while back. But the QL and the demo helped cement that decision. Fond memories of so many things going badly for the squad in the original.

Yeah, I'm a snob because I like my mouse to act like a mouse. Sorry. I'm gonna go play text adventures with my X360 controller, now. It's the only way that feels natural for me.

@Hansolol: I agree for the most part, though if it's with guys from say Harmonix or Double Fine then I think they're alright since those are so casual.

Kind of buggy...and they should have swapped out Dave Snider for Navarro.

This game looks awesome but I will had to wait until Christmas to play it. My masters course is taking up all my time, only get a couple of free days

Every single person on the staff was around in 1991? There's not some guy with the name "Firaxis" who personally makes all the games, you know? Or maybe you don't...

So I downloaded the XCOM demo on Steam, to find out what all the fuss is about.

The mouse controls are for the most part fine, except for the weird jitteriness - I suppose due to the grids on the ground. Also, the roofs on all buildings are somehow appearing and dissapearing randomly. That can probably be fixed.

Also, zooming by holding the middle muse button is kind of weird. I would do that a lot more, seemingly, than change floors, so maybe those controlls should be switched.

Maybe it's signs that this was developed primarily for controllers, I have no idea.

Otherwise, the game seems interesting.

I like that I can just pause the video, hit command f, and find existing comments that echo my sentiments. "Hey, this guy sounds kind of like Dave. Yep, other folks noticed that too." "Hey, broken guys. Reminds me of Game Room. Yep, other people noticed."

This is the best game I played at Gamescom this year...

I'm always a little nervous with Quick Look EX's but these guys were pretty cool.

@rpmacedo: This bugs me too. They have mentioned in the past that for multiplatform games they tend to Quick Look the 360 version because it's easier to capture, but they often forget to mention when something is on the PS3. You see it a lot in XBLA Quick Looks as well.

Already pre-ordered it, and now I'm even more pumped up. I didn't realize that the game is over after 30 turns (Never played the original - was that in there?). I'm thinking this adds to the replay value a lot, in as much as it will make the completionist in me keep replaying to see everything in there.

I haven't paid that much attention to this game up to this point but this may have sold me. Plus the game comes out on my birthday so that can be my excuse to pick it up.
