Lost Planet 2 told Brad he sucked at games (literally, 3:16 in the Quick Look), so his level of disgust is understandable, if not warranted.

The first two games received unwarranted criticism for not adhering closely to the established control conventions of console shooters and for its unforgiving gameplay. This one seems to adopt common conventions, but still isn't "reviewer-friendly"--not an easy game. It's times like this that the failings of games-criticism and its structures are most evident.

Curious about this.

This was sent to die, wasn't it?

That thumbnail reminds me a lot of Fallout 3.

I do enjoy all those three-men quicklooks. I'm so used to watch movies online with three men that...wait

It really bothers me that the producers of this just sent it to die. I've never been a big fan of the Lost Planet series, but this game actually has merits. It should have been given a chance, but it was left with less promotion than many indie titles. Such a shame.

Wait... What? I didn't even know this game was a thing and suddenly it's out? They've definitely abandoned it to die.

PS. That quartermaster is Canadian as a motherfucker, eh!

The UI sounds A LOT like Dead Space UI.

Is it just me, or do the graphics look about 5 years behind the current generation?

Posted by Castiel

I'm still weirdly interested in this game, despite not having played any of the other Lost planet games.

It finally happened. These assholes turned me into a framerate snob. This looks bad

Does anyone else think the main character looks like Nic Cage at times?

The giant monster fan in me will make me pick this game up. I'll pick up nearly anything with giant monsters and or robot suits.

I mean, it doesn't look that bad... right?

Jim looks like the main character of Fallen Skies, it's freaking me out.

That menu sound sounds like Megaman landing pitched down and maybe filtered.

Knowing this developer's track record, this could have been a looooooot worse. And I do think that the writing and the cutscenes are quite well made.

Getting flashbacks of Red Faction Armageddon. Not sure why I forced my way through that game.

The controls in this game are really weird on PC, there's like 4 different interaction buttons and a separate pick up button. Having separate controls for switching between primary weapons and switching to your pistol is also a bit weird.

Oh dear...thanks to Spark Unlimited, this franchise sure got lost on this planet.

I'll just show myself out then. Someone else can think of a better pun.

I really enjoyed Lost Planet 2. If you knew what you were doing, it was a great co-op game unlike anything else. There were real qualities to it. However, do NOT play that thing single player.

Yes he does. It would be awesome if real Nic Cage were to do the performance capture though.

Lost Planet 2 was great! How many other games do you shoot a giant railcar mounted cannon at a giant monster chasing you while your other co-op partners manually load it? Why you gotta be hating Brad?

Lost Planet 2 was not great.

What the hell? The PC version has none of that repairing minigame stuff, you just hold down a button and a bar fills up, that's really weird.

I loved Lost Planet 2, it was a great co-op game with amazing massive boss battles.

Describing this is much better than actually playing it, though.

I'll admit the game is a giant steaming pile if you're playing it solo, but if you're playing co-op with a full group of friends it's an amazing experience.

We should just start blaming everything on Lost Planet 3 like they do at the end of this quick look with the McMuffin ad.

I'm really liking the setting of this game. The combat seems standard. I would have really liked to see how this would have played if you got rid of the combat or at least decreased it to a minimum. Make the game more of an adventure game, a little more of an Amnesia like "run away from the monster" kind of deal. More of an "Alien" kind of feel and a little less "Aliens".

hm. main character with a beard. doesn't happen too often, if i'm not mistaken. also, borderlands 2 music at 6:18?

Edited by DarkbeatDK

I think the protagonist looks sorta like Ryan Reynolds

There's also this Lost Planet game

24:00: Jeff stop playing like Brad
