Giant Beast does it again! The last couple minutes were especially great.

Why do they call it a spinning class anyway?

edit: and who needs a class in riding an exercise bike?

Weird.

Just a minute in and I can already safely say that this soundtrack is great.

The shoes that Vinny was talking about are called Soaps.

FYI @alex, OlliOlli is coming to PS3/4 as a crossbuy soon. If you bought it on Vita, you get the console versions too.

Release date was pushed back, was supposed to release with PC.

You're a skay-ah 'arry!

My PC copy of this game starts me out in a jumping pose sliding across the ground, and I can't jump, trick or fail the level. Bummer because this looks really fun.

I had Soap shoes, they were real dumb. They made walking up/down stairs kinda difficult.

@xanadu: Stuff like this happens all the time with me and Vinny. It's why hes my favorite. Also what Vinny thought a spin class was totally hilarious.

I agree with Vinny, looks like a good PS Plus game. Since I got my Vita and PS4, I actually haven't been buying any downloadable games. There are so few of them on the store, I'm just waiting and letting them cycle through in the monthly Plus offerings.

I don't see myself enjoying this at all...

Thought it was really funny hearing Vinny ask Alex about his old skateboard. Gold.

There's gotta be latency introduced somewhere. It's a super easy game at that point of progression and Alex made it look like freakin brain surgery.

Did Alex just say "cross"? Disgusting.

That was a reference to a video they did not too long ago, I forget which one, where the X button was called the cross button.

I thought spin class is what PR people go through to get better at their job.

Old school grind shoe content:

I have never once heard stationary bicycling referred to as spinning.

I have tried to learn skateboarding a time or two throughout my life. Mostly the go fast style as opposed to the loiter around in the public parking lot failing to do a trick for hours and get kicked out by local security style. Anyway, the thing that struck me is that skateboarding is really incredibly dangerous activity and one of the few hobbies I can think of where broken bones are practically guaranteed at some point. And even further shocking that most skateboarders you will see on the street eschew any and all protective gear.

I do remember the bearings brands though. I got way in to the tech side of things. Hardness of polyurethane wheels and different styles of bearings. Bones Reds. Those were the hot bearings.

Not a fan of the art style, but I'm probably not the target audience.

It was Tour de France 2014: http://www.giantbomb.com/videos/quick-look-tour-de-france-2014/2300-9213/

First time I heard someone say "spin class" I pictured them spinning yarn on a loom or some such thing.

As did I

When I saw the thumbnail of this quick look on my phone, I thought it was the dump truck doing the Heelflip.

Was a little disappointed when I finally watched the video, still, neat game though. :D

@tangelo: There's always gotta be that one guy at the skate park who doesn't wear a shirt.

@alex I was the exact same way when i was younger, i hung out with a bunch of skaters, i would film them occasionally for local skate films. I never skated myself, but i was totally down to bomb some hills lying on my back. Seems so crazy thinking back on it, that my young mind thought "oh no, skateboarding? i'd get hurt" but i was fine flying down hills lying on a piece of wood. I guess it had something to do with being closer to the pavement?

Well, I know what I'm doing for the next 90 minutes:

To be fair I think I would do the down hill thing over just standing because the scary thing to me was hitting my goddamn teeth and or face.

That was my thought as well. I wouldn't associate stationary biking with either "spinning" or a "class"; spinning is definitely more of a weaver term (which would also necessitate a "class" much more).

I thought it was when you lay on your back and do fake cycling motions with your legs.

I'm not positive but I'm guessing he's making fun of the term as used in the Tour de France QL.

Looks like it would drive me insane at later levels, but eh, to the wishlist it goes! Sale prices make great tissues for angry tears after all.

I will make no attempt to explain that last sentence
