Damn this looks slick.

Posted by Kerned

That looks pretty rad.

Posted by Ramone

This looks awesome considering it's free.

Posted by cbarnes86

I'm probably the ONLY one that has ever done this back when I was a kid, but I would sometimes imagine Mario running around on/in the lines and cracks in the floor, wall, and ceiling at school. This reminds me of that imagination I had back then. Gotta say, pretty freaking cool. Really hope this gets turned into something!

So where Fez uses 3D perspective in a 2D world, this utilizes a 2D take on a 3D world. Cool.

@cbarnes86: you definitely weren't the only one who did that, trust me!

This looks great. I love perspective puzzles.

frustrating, especially when Jeff is telling Patrick the solution :P

Posted by cbarnes86

@rubzo: Good! I didn't want to feel like the dumb kid who had nothing better to do than think of Mario 24/7

Posted by cheebaking

I cannot watch other people play puzzle games.

Posted by Noogy

This looks fantastic. I love that the 'moving camera' mechanic is tied to FPS controls.

The last few weeks have really shown why this site is so awesome. Going from hilarious videos that showcase some of the crazy like Euro Truck simulator to seeing something like this, which likely won't get much mainstream video game coverage. This looks like a very neat concept that could easily be used in more mainstream games and make a real impact.

Good on you Giant Bomb. This looks very intriguing.

They have a derkwad of mirrors on their site.

What's the connection between this and GB though?

Posted by DG991

Very cool! Valve buy them for Portal 3!!!!

Perspective has been making the rounds among people that look at indie/student level games. It was also talked about on the podcast Idle Thumbs recently. 2/3 of the Idle Thumbs crew are Rodkin and Vanaman who Patrick interviewed extensively for the Walking Dead stuff. Brad also guested on the podcast way way back when. It might not be overtly visible, but they're all probably friends so it makes sense that they would know about the same things. I might be connecting too many dots, but whatever.

EDIT: OR ALSO YOU COULD BE TALKING ABOUT THEIR WEBSITE WHAT IS LIFE OH GOD

Posted by DorianOtten

Looks neat. But you know i heard that watching someone else play a puzzle game is the most frustrating thing in the world

Posted by JOURN3Y

So this is a more of a platformer than Echochrome? Looks ok.

Posted by Phoenix87

Holy shit that's cool as hell.

Posted by alibson

Why do they always put Patrick on puzzle games?

Posted by Humanity

Needs more Vinny, as a matter of fact just put Vinny in on everything I mean he's probably somewhere around the office anyway!

Posted by kennybaese

This is very very cool. I would definitely buy a whole game based on this idea.

Posted by ConduitFourSale

Damn, awesome stuff. Watching it was 14 minutes full of face palms though. That sort of happens with puzzle-based QLs though.

Posted by audioBusting

Phew, Jeff is a huge help in these puzzle QLs.

What you guys are completely wrong! This game is totally Mortal Kombat.

Posted by Rox360

This is awesome. This is why Patrick needs to be on this site. Thank you very much for introducing me to this game. I immediately downloaded after watching the QL and just finished it. There's a lot more game and more challenge there than I first thought!

And the ending...!

Posted by Mikular

Watching these guys play puzzle games sometimes just brings out the worst of my infantile rage.

Posted by Antipunk217

I have been following this for a while and played it at the Digipen area at PAX. Such a great idea and really well executed.

Posted by Sarumarine

This game looks wild.

It reminds me of when I was in elementary school and imagined patterns on the walls like 2D side scrolling levels. Like brick patterns or the way fixtures stuck out from the ceiling or rafters. Doors were always real hassles because if they were open, they didn't have anything to move across...

But anyway, awesome looking game.

Also Chris Remo works at Double Fine, who are practically the official game developer of GiantBomb.

Posted by Bladefire

The concept seems cool but all the puzzles they showed seemed super easy, hopefully there's some more interesting stuff later in the game.

Uhh... why would you think Jeff owns it?

It's registered through a private service. Pretty sure it's a user.

Posted by JYoung

There have been enough games with these sorts of mechanics that these puzzles are easy to immediately figure out.

Posted by chilibean_3

Jeff is good at hints.

Like a few others have said this is awesome. They took the dumb thing I did as a kid and imagine a platformer on the wall and made it into a game.
