Nice.

Edit: Fucking finally. Anyway, I've never been particularly big on racing games, and the first Shift was nothing to write home about. Doesn't seem like this one will be either.

Quick Look madness! I can't keep up.

Posted by Th3_James

I don't give a Shift

Pumping out the Quick Looks this week. I love it!

Posted by MysteriousBob

Was this game directed by Chrisopher Nolan? That score is certainly... dramatic for a driving game.

Posted by KamikazeCaterpillar

Looks good enough. I might pick this up to hold over until Dirt 3 comes out. Since I prefer closed circuit racing and am 360-less my options are bit limited.

holy shit, orchestral Night of the Hunter in the main menu?

Great, EA.

Finally a decent flow of Quick Looks! Loving it!

Jeff: "I'm earning XP for mastering corners..." BLAM!!  :)

I already own GT5, but I wouldn't mind at least trying a demo of this game. Looks OK so far.

Sounds like cars crashing as opposed to BOATS!

knowing EA, they probably had the money to crash a  couple of super cars together.

That Audi can go 200? hahaha....

Jeff clearly doesn't know/remember that tires are always the first thing you should upgrade. Although I wonder if that is as important here as it is in something like Forza.

EA clearly don't have enough annual franchises.

Audio no worky for me. Firefox 4.0, latest build.

Who are these people spending real money to progress in the game? Do they really gain more money from that stuff than they lose from people who write off their games because of it?

Posted by GunnBjorn

Yes, it's coming out on PC as well.
Posted by StandStrong

This game looks fuckin amazing - hope the gameplay backs it up

Posted by buft

lots of great quick looks, i love it. also whens this out in europe i seen people playing it but when i went into the store they didnt have it

Posted by GTFan712

Doesn't look like they've made any improvements over Shift 1. I won't be making the same mistake I did with the first Shift.

Need For Speed: Shift: 2: Unleashed: 30 Seconds to Mars

It is a bit hard to read but I think the speed is set to km/h.

Also, I could never do well in the drifting events in the first Shift.

You're part of Modern D.

Anyone else immediately think of Project D?

Posted by Jeffk38uk

The first Shift I thought was alright but it just didn't feel...exciting as it were. I liked it doing a more realistic take in racers, but it didn't feel interesting. Hopefully Shift 2 fixes some issues.

Posted by blalala

Really dislike the handling in this game, I hoped it would be better then shift 1 but it's not...

Edited by Cazamalos

grid 2 has not even been officially announced and shift has a sequel already

@MordeaniisChaos: KM per hour
Posted by Funkydupe

Looks like fun. I enjoyed having great speakers and a sub playing the first game and it felt pretty awesome. I loved the sounds of the engine etc.

Posted by ThePelinal

But what does the Ricker think of it?

@SpunkyHePanda: disgusting isn't it?

I know plenty of people who don't want to spend 10 hours to get access to the best cars. What's wrong with giving them the option to skip it? Why would anyone write off the game because of that?

Who would write off a game due to that? Seems kinda pathetic.

Is that douche a real driver of some sort?

'Thats the green come on nail this one'

All my rage. All of it.

Posted by DougQuaid

The first Shift was supposed to be a sim-type racer, but this seems to be similar to what every NFS game has been before it?

Posted by Funkydupe
@blacklab: He is a real person. Whether or not he is a real driver is up for debate still.

I refuse to buy anything with this stupid of a name.

This is a Quick Look heavy week.

Posted by TheKing

Perfect timing. I was contemplating picking this up.

Posted by kalmis

Way too much numbers on the screen

Posted by Death_Burnout

I really want Drew to go over and give Jeff the business on cockpit views and how they are not detrimental to your ability to play the game. Just once, just rough his feathers up a bit.

Posted by Octaslash

Goatee guy looks like Rocco from Mege64.

Posted by phrosnite

My favourite NFS game is Underground 2. I hated Most Wanted. Never bought a NFS game since...

Posted by litrock

Watching them fail to drift is just painful.  Reminds me of my painful experience learning to do it on Fujimi Kaido in Forza 3. Talk about an embarrassing montage straight out of Tokyo Drift.

Posted by Nottle

Thiis would have been the perfect chance for a Rick Look.

Posted by Zombie_Shakespeare

I wasn't even aware the first one did well enough to warrant a sequel.

Edited by MachoFantastico

I like me some cockpit view Jeff, it's a preference thing.

Thought about getting this, reminds me of GRID in some respects. Still haven't decided if to purchase though.

Though Brands Hatch and Donnington being in the game is a big deal for me. Love those tracks.
