@Aretak: is that true? because from what ive seen its about as forgettable as the last 20$ expansion

I'm running script extender, ENB and forty'ish mods. You really should do that! True Vision ENB with natural preset keeps the original colors and does it's ENB magic without fucking up the nighttime (doesn't really touch the gamma). I've transferred my 350 hour savegame from my xbox to my pc and back several times and my mammoths are so fucked up by the script bugs that they walk upside down.

An hour? Sweet, I'll check this out after badminton practice!

Edit: 7 mins in and already several laughs. This is great.

It's a pretty sweet mace for sure, but there's a dagger that has a chance of instantly killing anything in one hit, including an elder dragon. Mostly I just went vampire on their asses though.

The Xbox version isn't arguable not the best version. It's not the best version. Don't mean to be that guy, but having the ability to add 100 hours worth of content for free to the game makes the line pretty clear.

Holy fuck download times on this xbox is crazy, SSD PC spoiled i am.

I don't know if I mentioned this before but Vinny is great. Also Dig Dug.

This just makes me realize that I never even came close to doing the majority of this games' missions. I'm gonna have to buckle down and plow through this game.

The Nord avatar for the internet on the first loading screen was fucking fantastic.

I had to step away from Skyrim to realize how lame the actual gameplay is.

The RPG stuff is great, and so is the story/world, but man. Combat blows.

Time for Elder Scrolls nerdy lore time.

Brad mentioned he liked how the Elder Scrolls games are set far apart from each other; this was really only the case for Skyrim. From Arena to Oblivion, only 34 years had passed. Arena was set in 3E 399, Daggerfall 3E405, Morrowind 3E 427 and Oblivion 3E 433. Skyrim on the other hand is set way down the line in 4E 201.The end of the third era, and specifically the reign of Uriel Septim VII was apparently quite the tumultuous time for Tamriel.

Edit: Draugr on Solstheim makes sense. The island did used to belong to Skyrim, afterall. Don't know why it's such a hangup for Brad and Vinny.

To be fair, he didn't say it was good. He made a comparison with the existing DLC and said it was the best out of them.

Oh my god Internet Guy is the best!

I thought this was a really cool addon. Main story was a little short, but there are a lot of new books, enemies, quests in it, so yeah.. great! It also helps to remember stuff from Morrowind. Lots of references in this one.

Edit: It also helps to remember anything at all, ever.

Edit 2: I kinda agree about the Nordic Ruins and Draugr being overused.. but Nords being on Solstheim actually makes a lot of sense.

You lost dragonborn? We don't take kindly to your type in these parts

Skyrim sure has some long load times on the 360.

IDK that this should be called DLC. While technically it is, it really is an expansion. I miss expansions.

That's actually a more acceptable explanation than I expected, though it doesn't help much when you're seeing the same old dungeon and enemy art for the hundredth time. :\

When is this coming out for PC?

Posted by itspizza

Vinny is starting 2013 off with a hot streak

Posted by ArbitraryWater

This just kind of makes me want to play Morrowind, and I don't even love that game all that much. I guess I burnt out on Skyrim a bit too fast, sadly.

Edited by JayCee

oh Vinny. Never change.

Also- good to see the Skyrim jank back in action. It had been too long.

Edited by Supercancer

I've heard a lot more good things about Dragonborn than I had Dawnguard, so I'm certainly going to give this one a go when it comes out on the PC. What interests me the most about this DLC is seeing how Morrowind has changed over the hundreds of years between The Elder Scrolls III and now. From what I've read, most of Morrowind was essentially obliterated from the eruption of the Red Mountain, so it's neat seeing these civilizations reforming in the aftermath of those events. It really compliments Bethesda's story-telling when you get to see the events of previous Elder Scrolls games through a new view point. I mean, think about this, YOU'RE the one responsible for the way Morrowind looks now, so it's like you get to reflect upon what your character had done from years ago...

Also, from what I remember from Morrowind, the Stilt (Silt?) Striders are the huskes of really old Netches.

Don't get me wrong though, there's more than enough Draugr in the base game, so I agree that new enemies would definitely be preferable, especially so for the first main quest in the DLC.
