Looking forward to this.

Holy shit, they actually posted the whole thing.

Thank you so much Drew.

Awesome job putting it up unedited too! This QL was a spooky roller coaster ride.

90 Min Vinny Quick Look with promises of Livestream Jank from the comments? My night just got a whole lot better!

Edited by AjayRaz

this was a great quick look to watch unfold. thanks, guys

also, i love how Patrick says my name. "aharoz"

This was the most amazing Live Quick Look I've ever seen. Hell, I want them to do all Quick Looks live from now on so we can see the screw-ups.

Posted by mwjeffcott

I will always remember watching this stream. Pure, unadulterated madness.

Posted by Dagbiker

Maybe the funnyest quicklook ever, even if they didnt add in all the bumpers like they said they would.

Posted by Mandrewgora

This was Crazy

I LOVE playing Sleeping Dogs. I seriously fucking love it. I would watch a premium stream of him playing that game SO HARD. Seriously. Vinny, you are one of the funniest people on earth, I am convinced.

Also,

The greatest Quick Look ever.

Posted by Krakn3Dfx

This is $3.75 on Greenmangaming with their 25% off code, if anyone is looking to pick it up on the PC. Grabbed it myself, definitely going to check it out.

Posted by extragingerbrew

Thank you Patrick, Vinny and Drew! This Quick Look blew my mind. I'm so happy right now.

Posted by j_boy

Vinny is cool. I like Vinny a bunch.

Posted by TooWalrus

Oh, thank god they archived this all. I probably laughed harder when this was being streamed than I ever have watching Giantbomb content.

Edited by Daneian

When was this streamed? This is un-fucking-mazing!

Suicide Cub is an incredibly messed up Japanese grindcore film.

Posted by Emilbus

As someone who grew up watching Chinese horror film, this looks awesome.

Quick Look of Forever.

WHAT THE HELL?! And I thought the $18 Amazon deal was good. BUY THIS NOW!

Edit: Oh wait, you mean the DLC. Shit, I almost gave myself a heart attack.

Posted by PandaShake

Every time I watch vinny play sleeping dogs, it's so funny I have tears in my eyes. Great quick look!

Edited by MEATBALL

Is Patrick an MBMBaM listener or did he listen to the same thing that Travis McElroy got that ghost arm thing from?

Posted by ripelivejam

when he's slamming the guy's head in @the end i completely lost it

@Colourful_Hippie: they're talking about the DLC alone, though $18 i'm sure is a damn fine deal for the main game

Posted by DevourerOfTime

Jesus.

Quick Look of 2012.

Posted by CrimsonClown

I have a preposition; a new premium feature entitled "Sandbox with Vinny".

Each episode features a different sandbox game in which Vinny is allowed free reign to do as he pleases. This Quick Look proved the results would be golden. Please make it so!

Posted by Draxyle

One of those situations where the quicklook going as planned would have been a detriment.

Don't laugh at Jiang Shi. They are hopping because it's tradition that you tie the feet of the dead together.

The inspiration of this DLC seems to have come from Kung Fu From Beyond the Grave and Tsui Hark's Vampire Hunters

Also, don't forget everyone's favorite Jiang Shi!

Posted by Sarumarine

Awesome! They put up the whole thing! This is probably the Quick Look of the Year. The challenge at the end of the game with Vinny trying to put a dude in a trunk to drop in the ocean was fantastic.

Posted by PandaL

The Jiang Shi can only hop because they are very old (more than 100 years) dry corpse rising from death. Their joints and muscles don't work, so they always stand up straight and can only hop.

"Jiang" means solid, hard, and "Shi" means corpse.

Watch quite some Chinese horror movies when I was young. Used to scare the hell out of me, but now I only find them funny. Glad to see the Jiang Shi finally appear in video games.

weirdest quick look ever

I hate how some of the GB crew (Ryan, Patrick, sometimes Brad) think that 10 to 30 hours is "a lot" of time to spend on playing one game.

I guess it's because they have to play tons of games so they never really get the chance to play any given game for over 30 hours, but most people I know spend way more than 30 hours on games they like. I have upwards of 200+ hours on RE4 alone from challenge runs and Pro playthroughs over the years just because I enjoyed it so much that I continue to play through it at least twice a year.

Almost all the people on my steam friends list have well over 500 hours on games like TF2, CSS, DOTA 2, or L4D and those are actually the more casual gamers on my list. A few of my friends have 2,000+ hours in TF2 because they play competitive, and they're actually super normal people. One of them is even married with kids and he has around 3,400 hours played.

So yeah, I just think it's a little weird when their job is playing the vidya games and they think 30 hours is too much time to spend on one game. I guess it's just because they're so used to having to play through tons of games each year.

The first six minutes of this video alone is easily some of the best QL material on the site.

Posted by mrfluke

BEST QL OF 2012 AND ONE OF THE BEST PIECES OF GB CONTENT EVER

never laughed so much in a while, the vinny , drew and patrick combo needs to happen more in videos. sure the Ac3 QL was shit, but this QL single handidly justified Live QLs

Neato. This also explains why Darkstalkers character Hsien-Ko hops around like that. I always thought that was weird but never bothered to look up why.

OK, so in the past 4 years, I've had 3 e-mail answered (actually, I think all of them were in the first year, probably because they didn't get as many e-mails back then.) But something goes horribly wrong every time. First he pronounced my last name wrong (which is understandable, it's super french), then he refereed to Michigan (MI) as Missouri, and the third time, I used a fake last name, because my question was profoundly stupid. Good times.

The DLC is OK. Don't expect anything as mind-blowing or as well put together as Undead Nightmare, but the unique take on Halloween-themed content is pretty interesting. That said, think twice about getting Nightmare at Northport: the main campaign is extremely short (around 60 to 90 minutes) and the majority of the missions revolve around going to point A and killing X amount of enemies. There are only two types of missions (excluding some "boss" fights): you either have to defeat a Yaoguai (no, not one of those) by first killing the Jiang Shi it summons, in order to increase your "face" meter and be able to damage it, or you'll have to throw three Jiang Shi into a sort of spawner (by grabbing them, like any other environmental kill in the game) and then finish the fight. Basically, what you can see on the Quick Look, repeated over five or six main missions.

In case you're interested, the Achievements are easy to get: two are tied to story progression, one involves finding 10 shrines (like those of the main game, but way more useless), one is unlocked by doing the side missions (which are just more fights against Yaoguais and Jiang Shins) and the last one is gotten by getting five "gold medals" in the DLC-specific challenges, all of which you can grind in less than half an hour.

For €5, the DLC isn't bad, but hey. There are much better games you can buy for that price.

When he kept saying "fuck it" and dropping the purse, I lost it. So damn hilarious.

Edit: and then they started making jokes about Brad, god damn, I can't breath!

Figured this needed to be here for the context of the archive.

Hope you don't mind.

That was a messed up live stream. I wonder what this video will show?
