What is this?

Edited by MooseyMcMan

I played some of this last night, it's pretty cool. I don't care for the controls though.

Also, when I played, the clue was not for a flat hat, so I guess that does change.

I was just reading the article where they mentioned this and at the time the video wasn't posted yet. Awesome timing.

after Patricks worth reading i gave this a shot and its fantastic, i love how much freedom you have to dole out justice

Man I have badly got to go catch up on [adult swim] flash games. I remember when they cam out with Bible Fight and I thought I better start taking flash games more seriously.

Posted by Pabba

This was pretty cool, but I only played it twice. Suffers heavily from glitches, like the one where I went on a mission to protect a carriage from bandits, but no bandits ever showed up, keeping me locked in that mission until I shot my own carriage. :/

Incredible job. Patrick, bringing Jeff in to help with this knowing he isn't a fan of the western genre was a stroke of genius!

Speaking of games in which the player can totally cause the game to come a screeching halt, Morrowind. The game warns you whenever you kill off a plot specific character, but the player is free to ignore it. Cracks me up. xP

Is it gonna turn out the killer is you?

When I played it the very first quest I got was the same one they did with the indians and herding those buffalo is REALLY pretty awful and annoying to the point that despite my interest I just quit.

Man flash games have come a long way.

Posted by handsomeb

I played this a bit after the Worth Reading and had a lot of fun. If you enter a town and go on a rampage you'll eventually unlock 'horde mode' for that area, where endless waves of gunslingers come after you. Good stuff.

Mechanic of the year.

Love how Patrick completely misunderstands having to catch the escaped buffalo and instead herds all the buffalos out of the pen.

"Go! Be free!"

Quest was pretty easy...did it in a few mins...After that I played like 2 hours of this... I bought a house

Man this has been one hell of a slow month.

Uhm; I'm pretty sure when Patrick said the herding reminded him of the beginning of Ocarina of Time; he was actually thinking of the beginning of Majora's Mask...

No herding in Ocarina of time, that I recall.

Umm, I think when you wrote Majora's Mask you meant Twilight Princess.

"Go! Be free!"

I'm sure that was for comedic effect. And it was pure gold.

It's very much showing to the folks at home :)

This was pretty cool, ended up playing through it after watching this QL. Did a decent amount of quests and got revenge on my killer in around 75 minutes. You can help the Native Americans take back their land from the white men, which was pretty awesome, causes the big town you start in to be re-populated for the rest of the game.

Really like the look of the game and a lot of the music :D

Edited by MeatSim

Think of all the time you could have saved in Persona 4 if you just shot everyone in town and stopped the killer from striking again.

Posted by Sauson

I killed everyone in town and it activated horde mode

Has GB ever Quick Looked Happy Wheels? GB should really Quick Look Happy Wheels!

Adult Swim seem to have their fingers in a lot of pies lately. I was impressed that they picked up Absu, one of my favourite bands, to be part of the their 'Adult Swim Singles' free single promotion last year. As small flash games go, this one appears to have a certain aura of quality about it.

I demand an endurance run of this featuring Vinny.

Really like this game and the music is fantastic, one thing though. In the QL Patrick said it wasn't a true open world game and that you could not go everywhere from the start, Oh how wrong you are. From the time you leave your uncle's ranch you can go anywhere just walk off the edge of the maps and go to places you don't know about yet. In short, don't make statements you when you don't know yet. Still loved the fact he kept shooting everyone :P

edit: Spoke too soon, my bad.....oops.

Posted by Rodin

I tried to play it but every time i did, it either crashed, froze or somehow got stuck on a the travel menu.

Other than those problems i had it has cool music and looks nice so...

I think we've all learned a valuable lesson here guys. Don't doubt Tricky.

Wait, so GB has novelty accounts now? Wow.

Apparently no one knows where its from! But yea it was Twilight ... but whatever. I don't think Jeff even caught that one.

What's the issue with that?

I start singing this in my head whenever I read the name of this game...

Posted by mrfluke

great QL that game is totally law of the west,

also patrick, stop with the "its a videogame" sayings please, kinda annoying, yes its tropes but its still annoying

Posted by Krakn3Dfx

Patrick: "He put up his hands."

Jeff: "No one else will need to know that."

Summary of Jeff.

For the record, you totally can't shoot the horse in the beginning. I tried. :D
