@JeanLuc: Taris had a ton of rakghouls. This new flashpoint is just rakghoul centered as well.

I have no interest in TOR, but remembering what Rakghouls are really makes me want to play KOTOR again.

Everytime I've had free time to play TOR was around a maintenance period so servers weren't populated at all, which really sucks.

This almost feels like Halloween content that was not used because the game didn't make it out before October...

At any rate, really weird to be releasing this as the first major content update.

-Rakghouls were in KOTOR, a plague on a planet called Taris.

-Rakghouls already exist in SWTOR, because you return to Taris and many quests involve them.

-This content appears to be dealing with the Rakghoul plague in an offworld population center, when previously it had been confined to Taris.

They've got zombies in my Star Wars.

For fuck sake, how do they not know that Rakghouls are the last thing anyone in this game want to see.

Having never played a KotOR game, I just assumed people weren't lying when calling them amazing. Knowing they contained the word "rakghouls" makes me seriously doubt this.

Rakghouls? ...The memory of these creatures makes me wanna go back and play KOTOR.

@AlKusanagi: I don't think so. I think this trailer is saying that the infection has gotten off of Taris. Taris certainly doesn't have "billions" of people living on it to be threatened by an outbreak. I'm pretty excited to see how this turns out.

I'm so sick of hearing "We've got a live one!" I mean, we just heard it in the Raccoon City trailer too.

Rakghoul ain't zombies, these humans thingies must be early stages of the infection I'd reckon.
Or a mutation, it's been awhile since the plague was first created.
 
Still loving the cutscenes.

Zombies or ghouls or whatever these things are, they fail to be all that scary when all you have to do is take a small astromech droid, put a 4 pronged attachment on it's head with a motor (like a celing fan), attach a bunch of lightsabers to it & let it just drive around for a while. Now if this was in the film version of the SW universe everything would be dead again that would have been a zombie, in the game version of the SW universe, the lightsaber is a overglorified electric sword so that idea might not work as well in the game.

@m16mojo2: They're still alive amongst the ruins of Taris. Taris is, after all, one of the questing planets in the game. The Republic campaign on that planet actually has the player help them try to rebuild their lost city-world.

Zombies were every FPS game's excuse to shoot real looking people. Star Wars zombies are Bioware's excuse to not need more expensive voice acting.
