Rayman Legends Has Caught a Bad Case of Mariachi Madness

For what it's worth, I don't think any of that sounded exactly like Gerudo Valley. The Gerudo Valley theme didn't invent that style of music; I'm probably oversimplifying, but it borrows a lot from flamenco music, with liberal use of horns thrown in.

The Gerudo Valley theme is catchy and all, but it's kind of sad that it seems to be some people's only exposure to traditional Spanish music.

Parts of this sound almost exactly like the Gerudo Valley theme from Ocarina of Time... and then I remember that it's a take on Eye of the Tiger. This one impressed me even more than the Black Betty castle level because of how incredibly unusual and creative their arrangement of the original song is.

@koobz: I...I can't even explain in words how amazing that video was...Bit Trip Runner 2 is one my favourite games of all time, and I can't even comprehend how much more amazing it would be to have that polish/creativity for an entire game....

This game is very much a must have for me. Counting down the seconds...

This looks pretty awesome, but I hope the majority of the game is more like the traditional platforming levels from Rayman Origins. Such an incredible game, gonna be hard to top!

Pretty much every trailer or demo of this game I've seen has made me break out into a stupid grin. I can't wait to play it.

I would be fine if every level in the game were like this and the Black Betty levels.

I wish this was coming to the Vita. Damn it looks like a fun platformer!

There's one of these types of levels in the Wii U exclusive demo currently out. "Black Betty" plays while a bunch of castle invaders and a dragon eff up a wall you're running along. The invaders join in on the chorus.

You really owe it to yourself if you have a Wii U to play the demo. Even the Wii U exclusive touchscreen-only parts are a bunch of fun. And every day they add two new challenge levels. It's a pretty great demo.

And I say this as someone who rues the day they decided to buy a Wii U.

I want this game inside me...

Two words - ringtone material. This game is going to be "off the chain" (do kids still say that??)

Yeah they may not have had music set to them like this but there were a lot of levels in Rayman Origins that required nigh-perfect (rhythm-game-like) timing from start to finish (or pretty close) to complete.

I loved getting 100% completion on Rayman Origins and am so excited to do the same thing on this game!

I'm playing the free app on my Wii U everyday and praying that the daily challenges are a rhytm based one like this one. I might have to get the full game if there are more of this.

This is going to be one of the year's best games. Loving the Challenges app right now. This level looks excellent, glad it's more demanding than the Black Betty level.

That was nothing short of amazing. The only question remaining is if it's "Eye of the Tiger" or "Theme from Rocky XIII"?

@mlarrabee: You act like that's something new for Rayman. The rhythm part is what makes it far, far easier than the Treasure Chest chases in Rayman Origins because at least now you have musical cues for the timing.
