Resident Evil 6 Announcement Trailer

This is not the direction I want to see the RE franchise go down. It's becoming more like a generic 3rd person shooter - more so than RE5.

Wow, I'm not even that big of a fan of the Resident Evil series, especially after RE5, but this trailer is amazing!

I really really want to care about RE again, but I just cant.

2/3 of those characters I'm excited for. Something about that third guy doesn't feel right. If they make it work I won't complain but I don't have hopes for his story.

Wow, this looks pretty interesting. And fucking crazy. I'm glad to see the main Motherfucker, Leon back, it looks like Chris is there too, along with some mercenary. If that Merc is fucking HUNK, I'll love you forever Capcom. This just looks really interesting in general, I'm glad that Capcom looks like they're trying to make RE6 look less derivative compared to 5.

Yes. YES. This is the best possible direction for the series. All out INSANITY!

I have waited many a-year for this. I am excited. So excited. This looks fantastic. It looks they are evolving their over-the-shoulder controls to something entirely new, while still staying true to how Resident Evil 4 played it.

That's the coolest thing I've seen related to Resident Evil since RE4 and I am now super excited for this game.

I'm pretty pumped for this game. For as cheesy and stupid as they are, I will always play them and have enjoyed them so far. Trailer looks okay, and looks like you can move quicker and more agile (sliding into cover, eh? Hmmm). It probably won't be 'scary', but it will probably be damn fun, so I don't care.

As for that third guy being Hunk........maybe? Presumably his blood has got a T-Virus antidote in it, which maybe he got in RE2? Might explain how he got out of there alive. Not sure who Chris was so pissed off at though, maybe a new lady villain?

I love rumor talks and trailer breakdowns.

You're right. When I attack zombies, mutants, and abominations in real life, I generally stand still. I also can't look behind me without turning my entire body or carry more items than can fit in my suitcase.

this is not a thing anymore. both 3DS games let you shoot and walk at the same time, no need to complain anymore.

I really thought that was awesome until the crazy action shooting with Chris started ... the Leon part and the "raccoon city all over again" literally had me screaming "YES!" at my screen. I'm totally ready to go back to some Midwestern town that gets overrun by actual zombies! I hope they can balance this out nicely and only do crazy action stuff where it might be appropriate. That co-op stuff made me roll my eyes since I didn't like it in RE5 a lot.

Capcom, please don't disappoint me! I won't be completely happy, I already know that, but there's still a chance that this could be great nonetheless.

Bloody hell, that's a mighty impressive trailer. That said, at this point why would Leon even bother telling someone who's quite obviously fucked up and infected to "stay right where you are"?

That already has me a lot more interested than RE5. Hopefully it has more scares and less boulder punching.

The game looks a lot more ''shooter'' center and looks, a bit more generic that the cool African setting from RE5 or the Eastern European stetting from RE4.

That advanced melee combat looks dope though, exactly what I wanted out of a new RE :P

Hmm. Looks like they finally did away with the generally slow pace and made it a full on action game. Of course, that's only based on this one trailer.

Cover? Moving and shooting?

As much as I hate Resident Evil 4 and everything that has come after this looks like it could be pretty neat. Having zombies and proper looking B.O.W.s in the game is a good start and they seemed to have gotten rid of all the Co-Op bullshit. I guess I'll have to keep an eye on it.

After the embarrassment that was Resident Evil 5, It will be very hard for me to have faith in any other Resident Evil game.
