Resident Evil 6 Announcement Trailer

Is it just me or do the graphics constanly switch from amazing to ps2 era?

Anyway, I can't wait. Looks really fun.

Started so promising, then went all resi 5.

Revelations demo has me far more excited.

Those Chris parts look awful but the Leon stuff looks great.

"This is Raccoon City all over again" just about sums it up. No thank you.

I honestly have no idea what the fuck this game even is from that trailer. And it's not like it was some obsure cgi teaser or anything.

Looks like Resident Evil 6: Extreme Rehash addition, and it looks like it's still one big action movie with all sense of survival horror tossed out the window.

I didn't care for 5. This... This looks kinda titty sprinkles.

I may not be a Resident Evil fan but it doesn't really look like a horror game, looks like quite the third-person shooter. Then again, this is a trailer so I guess they would highlight the more action-y bits.

That was a great trailer for a reveal. So much more satisfying than the cryptic teasers most publishers usually go for.

It's definitely not Nolan North.

To me, it sounds like either Troy Baker or Reuben Langdon (Dante from DMC). Both of them have close to the same voice, but since DMC is a Capcom series, I'm more towards it being Langdon.

So let me get this straight: 
 
1) They closed the book on Wesker and (virtually) Umbrella Corp with RE 5.  
2) This trailer presents an interesting spin on how to continue the RE universe post-Wesker and Umbrella. 
  
But this is what I'd like to know: can RE 6 be scary again? 
RE 4 made me fall in love with Resident Evil as a whole, but, even then, I could tell that it was turning into something different. RE 5 leaned too hard on the action element for my tastes. 
 
I know RE is going to be more action-oriented from this point forward. This trailer does a good on convincing me that RE universe (in terms of fiction) can live on. If I want to stay an optimist, I would like RE 6 to capitalize on the actual scary parts. Can it make me feel dread again? Can it give me a tangible feeling of helplessness and panic? It's hard to be scary when your character is empowered, especially in something more action-oriented.

Oh yeah. I was wondering how they would get "wesker" in the game, since he is hugely popular and badass, but they killed him of. So far im glad they made him stay dead.

The new merc guy sounded like a cross between Nolan north and Troy baker. Usually im really good at recognising voices, and his voice sounded a little like nolans once or twice, but i wasnt fully convinced.

If this is really in there I will be mega hyped, might even go back and Try to finish 5 such a pretty game but so many bad control choices. This game..looks Retarded in the best way possible.

Actually, this is meant to be set 10 years after Raccoon City was destroyed, which was 1998, and RE5 was in 2009... so, ironically enough... this is a prequel @_@.

This got me excited for RE6 Well done Capcom. This may not be RE4 but it looks to be a combination of RE4 and RE5, having each star in the game play to their style gameplay wise. So it seem there will be something for everyone. Hope they can keep each part of the game unique and fun while keeping the game as a whole together. But so far I'm impressed!

I dunno about this, i really liked Resi 4 but hated Resi 5 due to the co-op and pure action direction that they took, when the trailer started with Leon and the stuff he was in i thought great they have gone back to Resi 4 style, but then the Chris stuff started and it looked like Resi 5 style which just put me right off there and then but then a third character came along which seemed to have a Resi 4 & 5 feel.

I just don't know what to make of it, if they have gone back to how it was with Resi 4 then i'm in but if it's more like Resi 5 or has elements of Resi 5 like the awful imo co-op action stuff then i'm out, Res evil for me is about fear and tension and you don't get that running around in a squad or co-op all guns blazing.

You guys? Hunnigan is back. This game just jumped to the top of my list of most anticipated games of the year. Hopefully it actually comes out this year.

Today is the day I was 2nd most looking forward to for a long time.
