This seems like shoe-horning in the Resident Evil name onto a squad shooter. Need to see more obviously.

First? No...

Eh, for what it is I think it's looking to shape up nicely. It's not a true RE game and all that bladdy blah, but this also isn't even apart of the main series, let alone canon. I'd be dumbstruck to find any of the leading titles to follow more on this route, but Operation Raccoon City on its own looks like it could be a really fun and engaging cooperative shooter.

Ugh I knew this was going to evolve into a "Shoot zombies then the rest of the game will be versus humans." But I could be wrong, since you do have more than just zombies with the T-virus.

Can't say I'm too excited for this. It just seems like ever since RE4, they've been getting further and further away from what made Resident Evil, well...Resident Evil. I'll probably look at some gameplay when it's released, but I'm not going to be picking it up. I want survival horror in my RE, not tons of action.

I don't know. This actually looks like it could be a pretty interesting game. I'm hoping it ends up alright. From the stuff I have read it seems especially cool that you'll be playing matches with story characters running around, which gets me even more interested because I love the standard RE cast of characters.

I don't know how I feel about all these new umbrella guys, but hey they can turn invisible, and shoot up smack, so that's pretty cool.

so what's the deal ? who is he fighting ? I hope those umbrella soldiers will only show up in the cutscenes 

Leon had a different gun in RE2, I really played that game too much for that to be the first thing I noticed.

Trailer was pretty boring for me.

Looks like garbage just like Socom Confrontation. I still feel burned buying that game which never worked and played like shit. Do I hope this is good? Yeah. Will it be? No.

When will they just remake the original series with RE4 controls and not make spinoffs?

I can't say I'm at all excited for this game. Not because I love the RE formula including the RE4 style or the fact that I hate what they're doing with RE this time but this honestly looks bad. Zombie co-op? Left 4 Dead 2 kinda nailed that concept and from what I've seen I doubt this will even come close. But as a big RE fan, I don't think I could ever fully support this game. I mean, it just looks way too far from what I ever consider as Resident Evil.

EDIT: I'll be honest, the RE fanboy in me absolutely hates this game no matter what they do with it.

I get that they said to kill all RCPD, but they seem to be going to GREAT lengths to kill him specifically, even referring to him as "the target" rather than "a target."

Putting Frank in Dead Rising 2 makes sense, because the fans love Frank.
But what exactly is the appeal of messing with RE2/RE3's canon? Did anyone ever ask, "What if Umbrella had super special awesome soldiers that killed all the cops?" How is that interesting at all? Seems like they're just trying to feed off the popularity of RE2, Leon, and Hunk in the stupidest way possible.

I for one would like to be in the shoes of an Umbrella Soldier.

I like how the main characters are not only evil, but also look the same and have no personality.

This is like the mirror universe evil twin of Left 4Dead. Except not exciting.
