Sexy nuns.

edit: woot!

I wonder just how many people are actually invested in Hitman's story. I know I play it for the gameplay primarily.

edit: Vivica Fox has a curious accent.

Needs more sexy nuns.

Blood Money has a pretty great story actually, but yeah the gameplay is king. The story is more for the cutscenes in between missions, whereas the missions themselves are either not at all, or very loosely tied to the story.

EDIT: Also YAY DAVID BATESON!! finally hearing him!

Hitman without the hit is just a man.

David Bateson is back. Hell to the Yeah!

@theManUnknown: Getting into the story of the Hitman games is a bizarre, and yet strangely rewarding, rabbithole. I'm still quite impressed with the way they threw out Contracts and didn't explain anything about what was going on until Blood Money, after which things probably go even more crazy.

I'm interested to see what sort of story Absolution is going to offer up - apart from "Man, the Agency are a bunch of jerks now, huh."

I dislike how Powers Boothe fills out his jumpsuit...

it's funny to me that they tout what animators add to a performance, while showing a badly animated shot of giant-shoulders-claw-hands walking up to a vista at sunrise. maybe they meant lighting experts add a lot to the performance?

All the danish accents you could shake a stick at.

The color-grading in this game still remain fantastic.

Proud of being a Dane, when I hear those sexy accents.

BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!

Christ, I thought the stupid nuns were just marketing flavour, not actually in the main game. Le sigh.

I wish they recorded all of the raw acting and put it on a bonus disc. I would love to see the back and forth between actors, vs the in game models. Also getting an inside look at how they get into character. Maybe it's just me but, I find mo-cap very interesting.

Cannot be unseen.

Hitman don't care about story, he care about assassinating his target for money.

A video game shouldn't "lean" on another mediums way of storytelling. It should take cues from all the other mediums but still have it's own identity. This game just feels like it's getting dumber and dumber.

The trailers for this game have been great so far. Also, I'm glad that 47's voice actor has come back.

You say this like Blood Money didn't have any cutscenes.

The shots of 47 accepting his missions and the conversations between the reporter and senator are pretty much analogous to what's being described here.

Wait. Hasn't this trailer been posted already? Or was that a different cut of these same interviews?

Posted by Rainbowkisses

It looks like Hitman:Absoulution is going to have a big, dumb, fun story to it. I just hope you can skip the cutscenes on later playthroughs.

Are the ninja nuns actually going to be in the game? Fuuuuck that's lame.

Posted by vikingdeath1

It's a testament to this game's legacy that even though 75% of the videos they've put out of this game

(DOORBELL RINGS)

had to get that, Dishonored just arrived, and I can't remember what I was going to say before!

They got David Bateson back so that's a big plus in my book for this game.

@ucankurbaga: That captures my whole thoughts.

Hitman was never about the story, it is about the setting. I always thought that Hitman is a gameplay-driven game where you only care to how you kill your target. Adding that whole "bringing down the agency" thing is just takes away the spirit of the original concept and add a curtain call to the series.

Why do the interviews in the soundproof room sound horrible and echoie while the interviews sitting in the middle of their crowded office sound great? Perhaps they should just motion capture at their desks.
