I'm waiting for Terminal Tale VIII, personally.

This seems like a pretty good overview of the game. The combat interests me the most because they designed it to be mostly real-time and to support the game's online multiplayer. Hearing that the creator of Final Fantasy's latest game has a real-time battle system with cover mechanics and online multiplayer just boggles the mind and generates personal interest.

I sadly have to agree. The trailer seems kind of unprofessionally made ... bad sound mix, dialog cuts off, weird mix of cutscene and gameplay ... no real thematic thread to follow ...

Iif I weren't already sold on the game (with my copy on the way) based on what I've read about it, that trailer would've done absolutely nothing for me.

I was kinda iffy on importing this, but now that it's due for the US I felt I had to go ahead and pre-order it here. Getting numbers on this side of the ocean is the only way to put the message forward.

I hear it's not quite as crazy amazing as Xenoblade, but I still want to see what Sakaguchi can do nowadays. It's be awesome if Xenoblade and The Last Story developers would team up for something though, since it looks like they're heading in similar directions. Plus, it would be a reuniting of two developers that were both an important part of the peak of Squaresoft.

It's no Xenoblade, but I kinda enjoy it so far.

Stylistically, it reminds me a lot of Vagrant Story, which I loved.

I like the voice acting. Even if every line was cut short from the choppy editing or buried beneath music that was way too loud. 
 
The trailer itself was pretty bad. Between the cuts, sound issues, and flow. If you could make game trailers in Garage Band, this is what you'd get. 
 
Still, I'm excited about the game itself, and I was able to watch this entire trailer without rolling my eyes, fast forwarding, or just stopping it.

The Last Story sounds like a Final Fantasy parody that I would play in Persona.

Very excited for this and Xenoblade. Two really great looking JRPG's for my Wii. I hope they both do well so this isn't the end of this style of game on consoles. I don't like to play on handhelds.

This. I was excited to hear years ago that the guy who made LO was working on a new game... then they said it was only on the Wii and I cried.

Mistwalker began by developing games for the 360 on Microsoft's dollar. If Sony wants to finance a Mistwalker title, I'm sure that Sakaguchi would find it in himself to oblige. It's not about the hardware the game is made for, it's where the money comes from to make the games. Mistwalker isn't so big that it can finance big budget titles by itself.

And if a publisher gives them the money for that, they'd most likely make a cross-platform game. But as long as they're being paid to produce exclusives, that's what they'll do.

@Set: Not really. I vastly preferred VIII to IX, although they're both great games.

This is the game that finally makes me get a wii.. I will now spend lots of money on all the wii games I have always wanted because this game is making me buy one:(

Not in-loving-it in regards to the use of faux Cockney/kind-of-Australian put on accents. Having EVERYONE talk like that (and poorly to boot) kinda killed Dragon Quest for me.

And I don't know why, but I thought Sakaguchi would be fatter - quite a handsome gentleman in fact. Not saying that weight has any bearing on beauty mind.

Not fussed about the game, but really happy to hear some British accents for a change!

Voices are terrible.  This really need to be dudebroed up.

Maybe that lady wouldn't have gotten killed by that arrow if she was wearing some armor rather than designer jeans and a vest.

I would consider getting this, but I have no idea which closet my Wii is stashed in.

The song at the end reminds me of one of the songs from Lost Odyssey.

@CashBailey: You sir are bro-tier VIII and Lost Odyssey are the best RPG's I've ever played.
