Seems Like Fable Anniversary's Coming to PC

Microsoft has been serious about PC for a long time. Just recently they launched Windows 8.. oh wait.

I laughed a little too hard at this.

The more Microsoft commits to the PC, the happier I get about my PC/PS4 decision for this gen.

I continue to be amazed at how much love there is for the fable series.

Also I don't see how it is necessary for microsoft to care more about the PC than they do now. The platform is doing absolutely fine.

Also this video was totally pointless. Could have shown some actual footage or comparisons, instead said absolutely nothing that wasn't already conveyed in the title/byline.

The company that thought Windows 8 on a desktop PC was a good idea clearly doesn't give a fuck about it, let alone the games that run upon it.

(P.S. Windows 8 was so close to being the right idea. So... close...)

I'm both glad and worried.

Fable 1 is what made me get a original Xbox. I went over to a friends house he showed me the game and we played it for hours and when Lost chapters came out i purchased my Xbox. (my pc was really shit back then.)

When they said they were making anniversary I wanted to play it but i'm a PC gamer. So i'm glad I have the chance.

HOWEVER it could be a terrible god awful port that looks and runs awful.

Finally! Glad to see MS a little more open to selling games on Steam.

Fingers crossed that they put out a Fable 2 HD down the road.

@crazybagman: is it trivial? I've never had the opportunity to play it as a PC user. I sure would rather that than a re-tooled version of an old game I've already enjoyed 10 years ago.

Im kind of excited about this. I play half of Fable on Xbox years ago and keep meaning to play the PC version but I hate the PC controls so that game with full resolution and controller support seems a good deal. I will have to wait on price though.

Don't really care much. Fable 3 was okay, but I'll start caring when they announce they're bringing Halo Anniversary or Gears of War Anniversary to the PC.

I admit that I dug this trailer. And yes, PC version please. Still haven't taken the shrink off my 360 version in anticipation of a PC version.

Why would we want to run this on cruddy old Steam when we could be playing on Windows Store, available for our desktop tablets and Microsoft Surfaces?

Why give us a game we already enjoyed 10 years ago when you HAVEN'T RELEASED FABLE 2 - UNEQUIVOCALLY THE BEST IN THE FRANCHISE - OUT ON PC YET!!!

Do we have to wait 3 more years for "Fable 2 Anniversary" so we can finally enjoy it on PC?

I too would prefer Fable 2 on PC over this, only HD-ifying needed would be going 1080p.
The original Fable on PC holds up well enough.

All these people seem incredibly slow at typing, but maybe it just me.

Maybe a version that will run with a solid 60fps.

There isn't a Microsoft logo to be found anywhere on this video. The overt Steam popup also surprised me. Is it possible that Lionhead is "self-publishing" the PC version of the game? I know they're owned by Microsoft, which makes the lack of an MS logo is surprising. Perhaps they still operate with some degree of autonomy?

hoping for fable2 on pc as well. the first one was nice. but just like mass effect, the second one was the highlight of the trilogy for me.

Fable 1 and 3 came to PC. It is unfortunate that Fable 2 never came to PC since it is probably the best game in the series.

Release Fable 2 as well and we'll be getting somewhere. Still ridiculous that Fable 1 and 3 are on the PC but not 2.

If that trailer is indicative of the kind of comments that they get, then I think PC gamers shouldn't be allowed Fable Anniversary until they can use capital letters in sentences correctly.

I love fable the way it looked already I just want fable 2 on PC

Really hopes it plays ok on the PC, it ran really poorly on the Xbox 360 with constant fps dips.
