Sega Finally Gets Around to Calling a Sonic Game 'Sonic Boom'

Oh God. Please stop making Sonic games. How about a new After Burner?

Hey guys maybe this will be the good Sonic game.

Knuckles skipped leg day. Did anybody say that yet?

But anyway, who is Big Red Button? Never heard of them.

I remember being absolutely baffled at its awfulness, especially since I had heard good things from the reviews for the Sonic Adventure games in the Dreamcast days. I was like 12 or 13 years old when I played Sonic Adventure 2 Battle, and I seriously couldn't believe how atrocious it was. Seriously. It wasn't good then a couple years after its original release, and it's DEFINITELY not good now.

In other news, the Genesis Sonic games (1-3+Knuckles) are still pretty fun. Well, the original is not too great. But whatever.

Oh man! Looking awesome. I can't wait for the game and the show and.... Yeah its odd they can keep making games at all but more so they keep making Sonic games. Video games are so... odd.

As long as it's fun than i'm down.

Geez I don't know why I even thought I'd look down here. It seems anything slightly fringe or outwidth the norm tends to get bashed by the vast majority of Duders.

Think it looks fine, the characters may look slightly different but I don't mind them, they seem to be a blend of 'old' generations and 'new' generations Sonic cast. Except for Knuckles who is just a full mix of muscle but HEY if it means Knuckles is actually significant again in a Sonic game I'll take it.

No. It's not. It's a VERY mediocre game. I unfortunately bought it on the PS3, remembering that I loved it, and uh... Yeah... It REALLY doesn't hold up very well.

So, are Sonic games going Nintendo exclusive? There's a weird irony in that, especially with the recent talk of Nintendo themselves broadening to other (at least mobile) platforms.

I don't know man. This may end up shocking the world because former Naughty Dog developers are working on it, but this could easily go into the Sonic Cycle. Am I the only one though who keeps thinking about the current Pac Man cartoon and game whenever we see something on this?

End of the trailer reminded me of the end of Demon's Souls intro. But that could be becauses I'm obsessed with the Souls games at the moment.

What ever "Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is the best sonic game" guy is smoking I want some it must be amazing. it seems to erase history from peoples minds.

Anybody else love how this game is glitching out giantbomb data base and is listing this under "Sonic boom" segas 1987 arcade game.

So I guess they have the right to this since before sonic....Sonic boom was a great game a pizza place I went to had it and tons of other sega games.

They put out a trailer for the cartoon that shows Robotnik: Boom! I'm angry Tails' plane isn't red anymore, but.. oh well?

Also, yes, everyone keep talking about roided up Knucklesand ignore that they made Amy into a Ramon Flowers cosplayer! Those goggles and a giant hammer? I mean, yes, Amy always had the hammer, but the goggles, duder, the goggles!

And, in "Trying tonot be a jerk".. a TV series and a CryEngine 3 game? At least Sega seems to be trying hard with this one, and I always like crazy ambitious stuff.

Ok now this seems like a step in the right direction for the Sonic series (if it must continue...sadly it seems like it must)

It's obvious that sonics old fashioned fast paced gameplay does NOT work in 3D...never has and never will, but yet they keep trying to cater to the fans...well fuck it, try something new and it seems like they have

Ratchet and Clank is one of my favorite series, so I'm stoked to see that this is like that in a way. If they all have their own unique power it could be interesting

But who am I kidding? Don't get hyped about this at all folks...it's still Sonic so it'll probably end up shit

If anything though I might buy this for Swol Knuckles...dude is jacked and I totally approve of his redeisgn. I've always been a Knuckles over Sonic guy
