@vierastalo... tbh I'm with patrick on this.. it does looks sorely lacking in originality or any sort of personality.

Nothing gets me excited like an android based Gears clone.

It's a third-person shooter that we've seen the likes of many times before, though.

I was going to be like come on keep an open mind! then... I watched the trailer...okay yeah I agree looks very generic.

Soundtrack sounds like a mixture of:

Looks like bung.

It looks like they photoshopped the player's character into a bunch of different backgrounds. The level is moving around the character, not the character moving through the level.

Yeah, super generic shooter. If Amazon wants to impress, I think that they'd be better served not making lesser clones of an over produced genre that the "too expensive" guys are doing better. Granted this isn't a games first device and is basically a Roku with an Ouya strapped in, but this isn't a great first impression.

Well that didn't really grab my attention in any meaningful way.

I really like the sound effect at 0:17-0:18. Makes me think of Jet Force Gemini on the N64.

All of the amazon games looks really poorly produced. Were most of the devs in 2d beforehand or something?

Looks like a phone game.

The music in this is really huge and epic for what it actually looks like in action. Sanctum looks better or I remember it better.

Note: Favorite part is the constant "Look at that thing way over there" that they were doing. I don't know what that suggests beyond a scope that probably isn't there.

If this 99$ box is more or as powerful as the Wii U (which probably isn't the case), Nintendo needs to do something.

They need to do something anyway, but this is another potentially big player.

Even if it was as powerful, what's your reasoning on it being a threat to the Wii U? I doubt many people in the market for a Wii U are buying it for multi-platform games or simply because it's the cheapest HD console at the moment. It will continue to have the same primary strengths it has right now even in the presence of another console with the same hardware performance - namely Nintendo first party titles and the novelty of the gamepad.

Regardless of the Wii U's current (poor) health state, I doubt this would have any effect on it even if could attain the same level of graphics.

It's a phone CPU and GPU, nobody should have really high expectations of it. Where it's competitive is that the games are cheap. It'd be a cool platform to see simple 4 player party games on, although the controller is kinda expensive for the platform ($40)

Hmm, third-person Sanctum with really shitty graphics... I hope this isn't the best AGS has to offer.

@cakebomb: I believe on Gaf there are some sort of GPU/CPU graphs being circulated that have more or less determined this device has roughly the power of the Vita, for what it's worth.

If this platform is being targeted at the type of people at GB then it would seem fairly obvious to anyone that this game missed its mark. It kind if looks and moves like a mobile game, maybe prettied up a little.

I swear more time went into making the music then it did with the game.

I'm guessing there will be in-app purchases as well.

Sony needs to make the Vita TV have the same media functionality and they've won the cheap console war.

My Ten year old and his friends would love this game. If it was not for the fact he has a PS3 I could see buying this game and console.
