"Shift" doesn't even make for a good stand-alone name to begin with. It looked good in the context of the Need for Speed series, as it did represent a shift of styles. But having the game just be called Shift is even worse than just calling a game Modern Warfare.  Soon enough we'll have games just plain called "Shoot". Oh, wait... "

Yes!! The first one was really good I'm really excited they decided to make another one.

Ok,this got me interested,but it still won't be as good as Criterion's Hot Pursuit.

It's a good move dropping Need for Speed from this, after what looks like a return to form with Hot Pursuit it's best to focus Need for Speed more on that, and try to splinter Shift into it's own thing. Personally though it'll have to do a lot to convince me this is the better choice to GRID 2.

Just 2011? I hope that means this is next year's Need for Speed. I read in that this would be released in March 2011 and that there will also be another Need for Speed game for the 2011 holidays. I don't see a need to rush Shift 2 so early and I'd figure Slightly Mad Studios would like to have six or more months to work on the game.
