More like trades cars for suped up Nerf arm blaster thingies. This was not what I was expecting out of this game.

Like others have said, I got a Quake/Unreal old shooter kinda vibe from this. Could be really awesome.

This seems crazy in the same way TrackMania is crazy.

That looked awesome. If this comes out this year, I think I might have my current multiplayer shooter.

(Though the shooting model will end up really being everything.)

I have to say, I'm exceedingly surprised that Shootmania doesn't look like absolute garbage (graphically or mechanically).

I am not surprised that it seems to be a slight twist on the normal shooter mechanics, as these are the Trackmania guys at work.

So everyone has the same gun, which is technically a wrist-launcher anyway, everyone can move at a ridiculous pace, and the focus is on user-made maps and some pretty dumb but wildly entertaining spectacle.

Unless I'm mistaken, the plan to turn TrackMania into a shooter is actually completely realistic. Also, I wonder how many dudes they can get on one server, if that last shot was any indication.

EDIT: @Jeff You need to put this song on the server now, right? You know, just to be canon.

Maybe it's one hit kill, instant respawn deathmatch mode? That would fit with trackmanias instant restart when you fail a track.

Wow this was really refreshing. Concept is interesting and looks visually stunning. Almost felt like i was watching a presentation for next gen console graphics.

Drum 'n Bass. Just like all metal that has growl in it is not Death Metal - All electronic music that has "wobble bass" is not dubstep. It's all in the rhythm. Dubstep is a slower more downbeat while Drum 'n bass is faster more upbeat.
