Well first off this is all stuff they came up with like a month after Skyrim came out when they had their own game mod jam.

Second, these aren't just mods, there's original art and assets being given out. Jesus Christ they're giving you an island with Morrowind stuff on it.

And third if you want those free mods that work oh so well to fly dragons or whatever else you saw, they're totally still there to download for free.

i find it incredible that ea and m$crosoft pay money just for game devs to not publish stuff and games for PS3.. incredible how far companies go low.

first of all, this is bethesda, not EA. Secondly, this has nothing to do with microsoft and more with the incompetence of bethesda combined with the split memory pool on the ps3.

@jony2shoes: The idea of Microsoft paying anyone to not publish on another platform is ignorant on SO many levels. Not least of which is the fact that it would be ILLEGAL under the corporation laws of the USA, and they would have their pants promptly sued the fuck off. Timed exclusivity is tip-toeing the line already.

I dunno about going back to Skyrim...

But I do think Alex needs to write the deck for everything from now on.

My Skyrim broke when I bought Hearthfire. I hope they release patches to fix that first.

It's like Ulysses all over again, but I don't even mind. Everything about Skyrim is so epic!

I actually purchased Skyrim on PC to play Dawnguard, but I'm still upset that they can't get their act together to make the DLC work on PS3. Sucks for PS3 users.

Still waiting the GOTY edition. I'm a patient man... sadly.

I was gonna rent Dragon's Dogma...oh well. I like the hints of Morrowind as well, as well as how both Morrowind and the Shivering Isles are similar in design. 

Oh man can't wait for this, with no RPGS coming out anymore it is up to Bethesda to keep this train rolling.

Looks interesting. However I as of yet haven't been able to stomach the high price points for Skyrim DLC. If there's a Steam sale I'll get if, otherwise I'll pass.

I guess I'll just get rid of my PS3 version and wait for the Game of the Year version to come out on 360. I wonder when that will be?

Nice. I'm going to save this and the other DLC to play through all at once. When is this released? Also, the mushroom houses totally sold me. I loved the art style of Morrowind.

As a Morrowind nerd I am super excited about this and I can safely say I could care less if there's dragon riding or how well or poorly it's implemented.

I hope at some time in the near...ish future they might finally get dlc out for ps3

It deeply amuses me to see all the people inexplicably bashing Skyrim in the comments here. This is the same game you were all creaming your jeans over in 2011, it's not like the game has changed. Bethesda has always had hit or miss DLC, but when they do get a hit, they hit hard (Shivering Isles!). This looks very promising :-)

When did I say any of those things? What the fuck are you even on about? The only thing that was implied in what I said is that they aren't fixing any of the real issues in the game with all of these DLC releases, but nice try putting words in my mouth. I learned my lesson with Morrowind and Fallout 3 and New Vegas, although admittedly not very well. I skipped the initial rush to get Skyrim only to pick it up just now on Games on Demand for $45, but since they're about to release DLC 2 (or 3, depending on how they count it), I shouldn't even be done with the main game before the GOTY edition is out and somewhat discounted.

Sure, I'll miss the zeitgeist, but these games aren't really social experiences anyway. Hell, I'm still not done with Fallout 3.
