In the thumbnail on the main page I thought the guy on the right was a mutant or a monster or something.

I can't wait to play this game. The original AW was so scary and moody.

I really like Alan Wake, so I enjoyed those DLC episodes. But, I did get them during a time when they were on sale for 5 bucks total(2.50 a piece), so my opinion of them is probably a little skewed.

@Twinsun: They're pretty fun, a little combat heavy, but they definitely advance the story well. If you liked the full game you'll, most likely, enjoy the DLC.

I'd recommend buying them for the Alan Wake story, but this is a separate story, so you don't even need Alan Wake, and you don't need the DLC to understand and enjoy this. You should still buy them though if you liked the Alan Wake game. I think The Signal was free if you bought the original new.

Way to call a spin-off a follow-up... These guys don't know what the hell they want to call this game, a sequel, a spin-off, a way to ruin the game? I mean honestly, they're bragging about a damn nail gun and at first you think it's sarcastic nonsense, but then they keep bringing it up like it's a big deal like the gun from AC Brotherhood. It's a marketing mess in my eyes, because I have no idea what I should be looking forward to and I have no hype for it. I'm actually more excited that the original game finally got a PC release than playing this game and that's just sad.

I got the first one free (pre-order bonus) and bought the second one. The first is good (The Signal) is good but the second one (The Writer) is excellent. To me that DLC lived up to all the promises made in the game and in the pre-release hype.
