When will they add my character, his name is Blade Edge the Hedgehog, and he uses katanas and laser rifles, and he wears leather jackets and he is in your face and dangerous, plus he is super witty and gets al the girls, and he has a rocket hoverboard that he uses when he is not running faster than Sonic, and he makes Shadow jealous because Blade Edge is so much cooler than him, and he is, and he, and he's just more awesome.

Eh, it's a game/show for kids. Whatever.

At least it's not Shadow the Hedgehog, is something I say for every modern Sonic announcement.

Yeah, kind of weird she looks so close to an existing character. And Marine was Australian, but Sticks is the one who uses a boomerang. Weird.

Yeah, but even we know what made kids shows good. You tone it down but don't treat kids like fucking idiots.

Ninja Turtles. Power Rangers. Kids shows with not much but kicked ass.

X-men TAS, Batman TAS. Kick ass kids shows that had substance.

Oh dear god I was hope for just sonic, knuckles, tales & amy. The second I saw the art for sticks I was like ok bet shes going to sound like that irritating voice actor/actress that who when you hear them you sit there thinking the game would be much better if you weren't in it...I was right.

I'm surprised it's not Styx.

I'll give those voice actors credit - they care more about the motivations of the current Sonic cast and "storyline" than anyone else on the planet (but hey, joking aside, A) it's money and B) I'm glad they can get into the role for something which I don't often consider: the voice acting that goes into games that are more kid-oriented and not often heavy on voice acting to begin with).

Also, it's far too late for me to go back to the stable of Sonic arguments like "LESS characters, not more" because they already did that and while I can't say any of them were bad games because I didn't play them, the fact is that I didn't want to play them.

The next Sonic game after this needs to open with every single one of Sonic's friends being horribly murdered, except Tails and maybe Knuckles. I think that's the only thing that would actually get me back into the franchise.

It was only a matter of time when a lombax would invade the Sonic universe.

And I'm not just saying that because I have a Mario avatar. Go-fast isn't an interesting gimmick for a platformer any more, and introducing more andromorphic animals to the mix does nothing for me. There's two characters in the Sonic universe that matter, Sonic and doctor Robotnik. Everyone else just exist to remind me of the terrible fanfiction that follows this menagerie around.

This trailer has convinced me, that I never want to meet the person doing the voice of the new character.

Did you actually watch Power Rangers? I loved that show, but that shit was dumb as fuck. Also, the main villain in Ninja Turtles was called "Shredder"; that's easily as dumb as a character named Sticks.

The "introvert" comment was just a little joke from Alex. The actual character is probably just lonely from being stuck in a jungle.

@bbalpert: I've never wanted anything more. To be honest, I'll take anything that cuts down on the amount of fucking side characters in Sonic games. Maybe just pull a GI Joe and leave them all in an alternate universe built by Dr Robotnik.
