To say something a little more on topic, and this is probably me just being nit-picky, but I think the animations of the enemies in Outlast are just a little too robotic. It's when they turn around. Something about the way they move just doesn't look natural, and it doesn't look unnatural in a way that would be intentional.

But I haven't actually played the game, I've only watched Patrick play it.

Great video, even if at one point I was (figuratively) yelling at my computer about how he needed to fill that tank.

I've never liked playing horror games but I really enjoy watching people playing them. One of Patrick's articles actually got me watching "Cry Plays" on youtube. I only wish Patrick wouldn't jump around so much on the games. He should record his playthroughs and post them. I feel alittle cheated seeing a game played halfway then we never see it again or having large chunks skipped.

Wow does Amnesia lean heavily into the whole pig theme. Seems like every thing you pick up or look at has some kind of reference to them.

@bunkerbuster05: Absolutely! There's so much great material regarding the Cthulhu mythos.

CoC had huge potential and theres an awesome horror game buried under the jankiness and bugs but its certainly not for everyone.

The world needs a Call of Cthulhu sequel. Lovecraft is some of the scariest stuff around.

@cooljammer00: Yeah, the game breaking bugs are nasty but it's just not a good game in general. The first half hour or so is pretty good and then they decide to throw all the tension out the window. Not to mention the first-person platforming and the sloooooow stealth sections. I seem to read comments on nearly every spooking video asking Patrick to play it but it's really not worth his time IMO.

As a German that "Oktoberfest Beer" looks kind of offensive to me. Sure we are already used to Chinese product counterfeiting, but counterfeiting beer? That's a whole new level!

Also: October is not that cold in Germany and Oktoberfest, starting late September, is only the most well known of our festivals of that kind. Basically every small town has it's own little "Oktoberfest", many had theirs already by now.

Really gotta do a German Beer mailbag or something like that, but half the bottles would probably arrive broken, if customs leave them trough in the first place :/

For some reason, the stream wasn't working for me last night, so I only caught jagged bits and pieces of it live.

I HATE horror games and movies, bad childhood experiences stick with me, BUT, I love watching people play horror games very much. Favorite live stream.

Outlast and Amnesia make for quite the duo despite their differences in pacing.

There's also a weird bug where the entire game stops being scary or interesting right after you launch it. I'm not sure what causes that.

I hear that game is straight broke on modern machines. Enemies are invisible and scripted events won't happen if your video card and processor are too new.

I'm no expert on night vision cameras, but it seems like there shouldn't be such a bright spot right in the middle of the video. It's been bothering me for a while.
