What is going on?!

Posted by TheCreamFilling

Bounty hunters are cool.

Posted by I_love_Eva_Braun

sure is a lot of star wars videos

Posted by TheCreamFilling

Is there something wrong with that?

Posted by Grixxel

Love bounty hunters, sure hope there's more to combat than what they showed. I'm sure there is.

Posted by msavo

This is one of my highly anticipated games

Posted by Coldbrand

Pretty redundant looking combat there video. Animations are also very stale.

This man is bald and sports the mighty beard+'stache combo. His ascension was predestined!

Posted by RVonE

I wish they'd just make Knights of the Old Republic 3--you know, as in a single-player game with awesome narrative.

That last armor set looks proper epic!

Bounty Hunter will be my second choice tho, gonna try and play healer first!

Posted by Necrothug

Oh my.  This may be the first MMO I actually pay to play.
Posted by Afro_Stevens

This game is going to be great.

Posted by Zanthox

Wow, bounty hunters must be able to take a lot of damage. half the clips showed them standing in place and mowing a room of guys down.

Posted by Crono

Yep, that is definitely MMO combat.

Posted by Greenshoes

Rule of thumb, the more you look like Bobba Fett, the stronger you are.

We need more people like you.

Looks great, I still wonder how bounty hunters/smugglers are going to fight against jedi/sith.

Posted by MeatSim

He made a campfire out of that monster some how.

Posted by jos1ah

Fucks sake! Why does MMO combat have to be so mindless? And, as much as I want this game to be good, the fact that they're cutting up so much of the gameplay for this trailer is a BAD sign.

Posted by Olivaw

Dude, he used his jetpack to uppercut a dude.

Fuckin' sweet.

Posted by Gildermershina

Man, the combat in this game looks extremely dull. "We want you to feel like the hero of your own personal Star Wars movie." I don't remember Han Solo running at stormtroopers, then standing in one spot right in the middle of the room and shooting enemies one by one, who likewise, are not making any attempt to dodge blaster fire...

I remain underwhelmed by the actual gameplay I have seen thus far.

Posted by rohanspear345

i think the armor looks stupid

Posted by Jimbo

That combat could not look any less intense.

Posted by bubba1287
@zanthox:
although just to say in everyone of them he only fought like two guys at a time which is barely a room full  (except for a very tiny room). and the monster thing (forgot its name) just stood there.
Posted by Demyx

I will probably be playing a smuggler or bounty hunter. Not a jedi/sith.

Posted by CaptainFish

I'm psyched for this game, but they might want to make the enemies a bit more active. An entire game of enemies just standing in one place and shooting you doesn't sound appealing. Hopefully in the regular play, they run for cover and stuff.

Posted by Leviathan2000

people in star wars arent that fat ass one off those guys where that the BH was killing!!!

Posted by VictoryCheezin

false advertising i still don't know how to avoid the sarlacc pit

Posted by Keslus9

"Make sure he walks away from flames at the end"............

Well this was boring as balls.

looks like an mmo.

Posted by Innosin

That was too damn cool!

Posted by benspyda

I'm not sure why mmos don't have real-time combat yet (bar a couple that do). It would be awesome if you had an aiming reticule and had third person shooter controls but still had all the mmo trappings. Borderlands is a good example of this. Someday maybe.

Posted by Lind_L_Taylor

Goddamn boss fight was TOO easy!

Posted by Patman99

I am one of the 5 people who actually liked Star Wars: Galaxies so Im pretty excited for this. Although the gameplay looks a little dull, I still cannot deny anything Starwars...

Posted by Reverseface

Looks cool armour needs to look alot more badass, WoW has a cartoonish look but the higher tier armours look bad ass. Old republic needs to follow suit.

These two statements are both true, and are not unconnected.

The spiderman whip and the shoryuken punch looked downright silly.

This is exactly the thing that puts me off most MMOs. To go from Mass Effect 2's dynamic cover-based combat to The Old Republic - and yes I know it's different teams and styles of games - seems like a serious step backwards in Bioware games, even if it is on par with what other MMOs do. Even if there were a simple procedural dodge animation system that would give visual feedback for misses as opposed to hits, it would look a lot more dynamic even if the player is standing still. Perhaps it looks better if the player moves while attacking, but if the AI just stands there, and it's all dice-rolled, what's the point?
Posted by JackSukeru

Now this looks like a momorpager

Also, Shoryuken!

Posted by Otzlowe

I want to like this game on the basis of Star Wars and Bioware, but I admit that I'm really not... inspired. As much as I like those two things, I don't really want a Star Wars version of WoW/EQ.

I'm fine with it being an MMO. It just looks pretty dull.

Bioware made DRAGON AGE. And KOTOR. So, no, it's not a "step backwards". And there is a reason why action based MMOs aren't catching on.

In theory I want this game, until I watch videos of the game in action.

@jos1ah:  Yeah, it usually means there's nothing worthwhile in it...hmmm...sad. Regardless, I'll give it a try anyway.
Posted by SevX1

Really looking forward to this game, altough TERA online also looks great :)

Posted by Carlos1408

Cool I hope this game is good. I doubt they'll make it for mac though, so i'm pretty much screwed :(
