Oh man, the gauntlet has been thrown down.

This was really good. Enjoyed all games, especially the strange Chicago Lang vs bopping monsters. I hope you can stream somewhat regularly.

Dave Lang is actually a funny assed dude when he's not drunk off his balls.

What is even going on here in the comments? This was extremely hilarious and as for the fears that this might become a regular thing, I think that’s pretty unfounded. I don’t think any of them have enough time to make that happen. I mean, they actually mentioned their time problems in the show. I’m totally ok with something like this happening every two months or so. (I think Patrick was in that studio once before, and that was months ago.)

I’m also not sure why anyone would be insulted by what Max said. I found it pretty hilarious and I was watching the stream. I’m not saying you aren’t justified in being offended (hey, if that’s how you feel then that’s how you feel), it just seemed very consistent with the overall tone of Giantbomb and relatively harmless. (Maybe stereotyping the unemployed in the way he did wasn’t that cool. I can definitely understand that perspective.)

That was fantastic. Max's laugh is amazing, too. I could watch him and Lang riffing all day.

I wanted to catch up on it......

It had some audio sync problems.

Don't ind this at all, but two competing friday streams is gonna be a bit much. If it were another day when less is normally going on that'd be swell.

Don't know why anyone would be displeased with more content.

You could say this about nearly every article on GB. It's a weird community. On a related note, can't wait to see what socially damaged people show up to ask creepy questions at this year's PAX panel!!

Want to see more of Max and Dave with the GB crew. Loving the idea of the show. Don't know about the time, but hardly watch stuff live anyways so that matters very little to me.

This was a nice surprise.

The only professional thing about this stream was the shit talking. Also, GB is getting real good at perpetuating dat beef. The community is so willing to open up with their super extreme opinions about the most inconsequential dumb shit. It's like a drunk group therapy session and Jeff is the mediator who's secretly getting off on everyone's irrationality. Keep it up.

I enjoy the fact that Patrick and Alex actually mention Ryan rather than dancing around things at times. I know it's obviously been very hard on everyone, and that's probably a big step, but I look forward to the days where there isn't uncomfortable moments on the streams of the SF office. I think they inadvertently do him a disservice by not addressing some of this stuff face-on at this point.

Unprofessional CHIday

I really enjoyed Max's little story because it seemed so pitch perfect to who Ryan was.

As for people who are getting irrationally upset about minor things:

• This is in no way going to be a regular feature.
• The Patrick hating is getting really tiring. He's a part of the site and does a good job on digging into some of the peripheral issues/topics surrounding our hobby. He works hard and produces a surprising amount of the content on the site.
• If you've been visiting the site for any substantial amount of time, it's pretty clear Giant Bomb has a special relationship with Max & Dave. I think it's great that Max let Patrick have a desk in the office, and Dave is a funny and smart guy who has contributed some great things to the site. I'm glad he apologized to Ed Boon because, well that was just a shitshow. Writing it off because it doesn't have just the people who work (or have worked) in the San Fran office is your loss.

I thought this was great and hugely entertaining. Max is an asshole in all the best ways and Dave Lang has such a larger than life personality that it's almost impossible not to go along for the ride. I'm not going to say no to more subscriber content, and think having one of these every 4-6 weeks would be fantastic.

I have never understood all the Patrick hate. He is a fantastic journalist he didn't get the name scoops from nowhere! As an aside I feel all his video content is an extra fantastic bonus and if that means Iron Galaxy and Cards against Humanity guys coming along for the ride then that's ok with me.

Hoping this is more regular than not... loved it, so professional!

I think they removed it to reencode it, audio was out of sync on the version they first uploaded.

edit- I love dave lang as well, charming guy. special kind of person.

They cut out the start of the stream, audio was fine for a while, but Dave somehow disconnected some cables, and when audio came back (just at the start of this, as Dave returns to his seat), it was like this. I guess they maybe just didn't bother with connecting their table mics again, and just went with some boom mic or something.

I hope I enjoy this.

Missed unprofessional Friday. Not sure if this was the entire thing but not my favorite video unfortunately. Maybe next time.

I read this post and was expecting this part to be bad, but I laughed at Max's reaction to the chat saying a whole bunch of "FUCK DOGS". And honestly, Patrick did try to prevent Max railing on the chat 5 minutes later (though Max got it in there anyway). I thought it was totally fine, though, Max was being dry but he was clearly just having a laugh.

Honestly, I find Patrick's over-the-top gestures whenever he finds something remotely humourous kind of unbearable, but on the bright side Dave Lang totally makes up for any little annoyance Patrick brings here and there.
