The shield protects all the units under its umbrella, so you cant attack it from the air. (Althrough presumably the shield can be overpowered). You have to use ground units.

Supreme Commander 2 is looking very awesome, can't wait!

Before I watched the video, I took this as sarcasm.

Really looking forward to this game, I could never really get into any RTS game other then Supreme Commander. I think having the large scale battles and the ability to quickly zoom in and out long distances set it apart from your traditional RTS games that can seem to play slow with a close up view and panning all over the place.
