Posted by Slax

I'm not even sure what I just saw.

Posted by Scooper

Looks a little too high fantasy for me but I dunno. I could be cool.

....dude, what?

Edited by skrutop

Sexy elves with their racks all hangin' out.  Spells flying all over the place.   Looks like an MMO to me.

From their FAQs: "Like other Triple-A MMORPG titles, TERA will use the monthly subscription model and be available in a retail box."  OTHER AAA titles, eh?  Getting ahead of ourselves, are we?

PC-only, so no buy.  They really should get this on the 360.

Oh also, Bluehole is a terrible name for a studio.  It makes me think of...you know what, I'm not even going to say it.

Posted by BigChief

Could be cool, but then, it's a trailer. I'd like to see some straight gameplay footage before I really get interested.

What did I just watch?

Dude, I can play as a PANDA?! Want.

EDIT: Yep, that's totally a panda. Awesome.

Posted by paulunga

No. Try again.

Posted by TheChaos

But I saw vids about Tera several months ago......longer than this too.

Not a purchase for me, but I am interested to see how this little experiment works out! If they can make it work, this could be the next big step in MMOs.

Posted by Nonentity

I played this at E3 - it's good. Click to attack, lots of positional enemies.

I'd keep an eye on this.

Posted by FunExplosions

There's no way my computer could handle this. Too bad. I would like to be a melee panda.

Posted by TehJedicake

lol @ all the people whining that you have to aim and can't tab target

blue hole? what?

these pretzels are making me thirsty

Ever played Age of Conan? I think that's the direction they're trying to take with this so-called "first true action MMO".

Not many GB users knew about this game I see ^^

I've participated in 2 focus group tests for TERA and I must say that, even at this stage, the combat system feels really smooth and fresh. Lag was not an issue and the hitboxes worked nicely. So don't worry about getting magicaly hit by a guy swinging his sword a mile away. Party combat is interesting to say the least. Without a targeting system your role as the party healer can be really challenging. The game looks awesome too and the game world is huge. I had a blast exploring it with a party.

Unfortunately I can't share my recorded sessions and screenshots of the game due to a non-disclosure agreement, I'm sorry :P But I can say that I think the game is going to be great ^^

is that a panda at :46?

Posted by darkjester74

Panda as a PC = AWESOME!

Edited by Lilja
@spartan1017: It's a Popori, a race that are embodiments of spritis if I remeber correctly. You can customise your character to have the face of a panda, bunny, dog, raccoon and others. ^^

Ugh, terrible anime-fantasy-crap-artstyle.

No thanks.

generic eastern fantasy character design:  check and check

Posted by TullyAckland

Looks immense!

Posted by Catolf

I'm interested...

Posted by Picard

Looks awesome - although I'll never have a PC powerful enough to play it. lol

Posted by MisterMouse

IT will be interesting to see more of this game.

@Lilja:

Do all the classes feel unique in combat?
Posted by Death_Burnout

Finally a fantasy MMO that plays like, y'know, a game? supposedly!

Posted by Korne

I'm interested, even though I don't play MMOs.

Posted by Jimbo

So does it really play like an action game, or are the turns and dice rolls just hidden (a la Dragon Age)?

Posted by TomA

looks good

@Picard: The difference in feeling between playing a sword-wielding class, a long range class and a healer class is actually quite big. You can definitely not apply the same playstyle with the those class types.

The different ranged classes are of course similiar, but each class has a nice set of uniqe skills that sets them apart. The sorcerer's combat teleport skill, as an example, is unique to that class and encourages a different playstyle from any other class.

The melee classes though I feel at the moment aren't that different from each other. The only real thing setting them apart is their attackspeed and health/armor. But of course every melee class have their own role in a party. Lancers have a ridiculous amount of HP, so they are a natural tank.

But in short; yes. The classes feel more unique and diverse than any other MMO I've tried, much thanks to the target-less combat.

Graphics look real good for a MMO.

APB!

Nope. Holding out for GW2 <3

Did I see a panda?

I want a game where I can play a panda. Why couldn't I play as a panda in red dead?!

A MMORPG on the XBOX 360? Are you high?

Did you even watch the trailer? The whole point of it was that it plays like an action game, not a standard MMO.

@atombrain: Well the game has native support for gamepads/controllers. The only problem would be disc space. Which is solved with Blu-ray on the PS3. But then patching and adding new content might get annoying... maybe..
Posted by zityz

The game looks like another linage look a like. Yet another MMO where half the people are going to play half dressed elf woman. NO thanks.

Same here.  Will keep an eye on reviews.
Posted by Coombs

I don't get it......
Why is this the "first true action MMO"

I love when they claim that the game is going to break the mold in terms of gameplay,
Then don't show any gameplay.

Posted by Happy

Looks cool, but then MMO trailers are some of the most deceptive trailers there are.

Posted by Lilja
@Coombs: It was all gameplay, just no UI...
Posted by Coombs
@Lilja:
No UI and no actual gameplay camera angles,
Makes it pretty hard to get a feel for the gameplay
