Nice.

looks good but i dunno if it will fully surpass brotherhood, we ill see in nov

Edited by CasinoGhostt

Goddamn! Jesper's done it again! Such a talented composer.

Posted by SumDeus

It's probably scripted that way, but it looks much stealthier. I like.

Posted by phrosnite

Combat is still shit. I ain't playing an AC game until they make the combat like in Batman: AA.

Posted by PolyesterPimp

but can he make a GIANTBOMB?! Ehh See what I did there?

Posted by IceColdGamer

I still haven't finished Brotherhood :( So I only watched a few minutes of this video before quitting out. I can't wait to head back to Masyaf though, so glad they're bringing the old areas back!

Looks pretty good, but then again I'd be happy with any more Assassin's Creed anyway.

It's been a while since I played AC1, but are those new voice actors for Altair and Al-Mualim?

Edited by sixpin

This just reminded me of how much I love the AC series. I'm ready for some more stabbing dudes in the neck and jumping off of high walls action.

Also, since this is Ezio's last run I'm really going to miss his "requesta de pache."

Posted by Awcko

Awesome, they finally gave Altair a fitting accent!

Posted by xdaknightx69

Assassin's!! looks awesome cant wait...

Edited by CasinoGhostt
@Aishan: For Al-Mualim, that's definitely the same voice actor (who also voiced Duncan in Dragon Age: Origins). For Altair, that's definitely a new voice actor, whom I do not recognise!

It's looking great

Posted by GaspoweR

Looks like the faces have been vastly improved over AC 2 and Brotherhood. Shapin up to be a much better game than the predecessor...again. Man, only having one year cycles to finish a game these guys are really killing it.

Edited by Yummylee

So... Desmond is living through the memories of Ezio as Ezio lives through the memories of Altair?!...

Posted by Slaker117

Man, I fucking love Assassin's Creed.

Posted by Benny

Some really jarring contrivances there, 'bomb crafting station?' And near the end of the mission all of a sudden Ezio is healed and can climb again?...

Altair's west asian english accent was necessary though so I'm glad they added it

Posted by CasinoGhostt

Seriously though, I am jonesin' for Kyd's OST after hearing the music to this demo.

Assassins Creed: inception . You know its coming

Hm. So, much of the point of the original Assassin's Creed as a heroic journey was that Altair was a conceited prick at the start who through shanking nine dudes in the face learned self-restraint and control. Admittedly a weird kind of hero's journey, but hey, whatever.

However, this thing says it's starting up as Altair before the events of the first Assassin's Creed, yet in the demo he doesn't seem to be behaving as a conceited prick to the traitor/crusader? I'm less than clear here on what his journey's going to look like in-story.

@Benny: If you think about it Assassin's Creed has always had a lot of contrivances, so it doesn't bother me.
Edited by MachoFantastico

Looking good, not sure how I feel about Altair's new voice. While I know not historically accurate I prefer the voice in the original.

Loving the new bomb mechanics though. Can't wait.

Posted by Hexogen
@PatPandaHat: I believe he's not a master assassin, and so his ego hasn't been inflated yet.
Posted by Rawrz

Game looks amazing as always. Oh Assassin's Creed, how you never disappoint.

Posted by MisterMouse

I love ten minute demos... kind of.

Posted by Marz

looks like more assassins creed.

Posted by Philzpilz

@Abyssfull:Inside of a dream

BWAAAAAAAAAAAH

Posted by Benny

@Hexogen: Very true, but it bothered me more because of the way the narrator of the demo talked as if it wasn't a game you were watching.

Posted by Russcat

Ha, they got rid of the old Altaïr voice actor. That's probably a good thing since he was pretty terrible.

Posted by MisterMouse

It almost feels like that engine is showing its age now.

pre-ordered the collectors edition a few days ago. i think this justifies the reason why i did it. november couldn't come soon enough, what else is going on in november????? ah.... yeah..... my 21st freaking birthday ¬_¬......... still, this will make me smile with glee and make me forget i'm only getting older. ASSASSINS FTW!!!

Posted by Hardiharr
@phrosnite: Ever actually played an AC since the first game? Combat has greatly improved in Brotherhood. Expecting all combat systems to be like AA is setting you up for a lot of disappointment.

Furthermore, I snickered when they said "too wounded to climb, Ezio must..." and then immediately saw him break into a run and pounce on a dude. Looking real wounded there, Ezio.

uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh, uh.

Love me some Assassin's Creed.

Edited by Gerhabio

Different voice actors for Altair era characters? And Altair doesn't look anything like Desmond anymore.

Also, the game seems much more linear in the Ezio part. They didn't really show any sort of open city but ACII and AC:B had those moments too.

Posted by Terrorhawk

I really like the AC games, but I really wish they would stop making the combat easier and easier. Each game, they give Ezio more and more ways to kill dudes until every soldier is just a joke. Maybe I'm in the minority here, but I really liked how it was actually hard to kill to kill guys in the first game, especially a group of them, so you actually had an impetus to be stealthy. In Brotherhood especially, there was just almost no danger in being spotted unless it ended the mission.

Posted by dvorak

If you do not play as Desmond fucking dudes up in the future by the end of this game...!

Posted by eloj

Someone should give Ezio a bow, and water-arrows to turn out lights...

I was thinking the same thing. This game is so close to just becoming a third-person free-running Thief.

I have the same opinion than this individual. That is all.

I feel this should be in the soundtrack for this Assassin's Creed game

Actually Altaïrs voice actor is the same guy but he's doing an accent now and he didn't in AC1.

Ah, If IMDB is to be believed, then this is correct! I am very much mistaken!

Huh? The first game's combat was still braindead easy and they still haven't changed the dreadful AI, attacking one at a time with like 10 seconds in between attacks. It's dumb.
Posted by NTM
@CasinoGhostt: Oh wow, that's interesting. Well that makes me... happy. Yeah I saw this a while back and commented (I think on IGN) about how I'll have to get used to a different voice, but it's probably for the better.
Posted by NTM

I like how the Assassin's Creed games keep getting better even if just slightly. I need the soundtrack to this game now too.

Edited by CasinoGhostt

I think it's because of just the sheer size of the Ubisoft dev team that I have no reason to doubt that they'll repeat the success they had with a one year cycle for Brotherhood, with Revelations.
