@Old_Corncob: I believe they said Ron Gilbert was not working on the Kickstarter game. So if this is the game he's working on, it can't be the kickstarter game.

COOL!! Is it just me, or does this look like a stop-motion SkullMonkeys game to anyone else?

I feel like they should've wrote "This isn't the Kickstarter game." at the end of the trailer.

It's weird, but for some reason I've started feeling a sense of triumph whenever SEGA gets a good game, like Vanquish or Bayonetta or Binary Domain or this. Like "Come on guys, you can do it! People can be Sega fans again!".

@iAmJohn: I am of the deplorable persuasion of not memorising everything I may or may not have read months ago. Shame on me. I don't even know who Ron Gilbert is really, something to do with his games being released before I was born; still, no excuse.

And I'll go out on a limb and guess that more people have heard of their Kickstarter success, rather than The Cave. I know this isn't that game, took about 15 second of reading the comments, it's just condescending to blame people for making that connection, and wanting clarification; condescension is almost as useful though.

This does look cool I was wondering when this was going to show up I was more taken by surprise when I saw the SEGA logo.

For the record, I too totally thought this was a trailer for the Kickstarter game, having read nothing about it and seeing the word "Adventure" right there in the video title.

I've played Death Spank, I don't think we should be giving Ron Gilbert any more money. The pointed stick of pointedness, the sharp spear of sharp..OK I GET IT RON, CHILL.

Maybe the fact that nobody is talking about the content is telling. This trailer doesn't seem to tell us much. I guess it's sort of like Metroid meets Maniac Manison?

The sound is good, but I'm growing quite tired of this style of overly smooth and whimsical 3D animation.

This doesn't look very much like an adventure game. I know we've played fast and loose with the name of this genre in the past, but this seems a little more faster and a little more looser.

I really like the look of this game. It looks a lot like a Twisted Pixel game, and they are an awesome company. I also love Double Fine forever because of the games that they have given the world, namely Brutal Legend and Psychonaughts. Double Fine has that odd sense of humor that makes a gaming experience far more fun.

If this game has an ounce of Brutal Legend's hilarity, I am most certainly in.

I am going to stay excited about this game due to pedigree, but, to quote Panpipe, "Christ this looks generic". I suspect this is a poor trailer. Holding judgement for a Quick Look.

YAY SEGA bringing some originality ... I was surprised when i saw SEGA the second time i watched this, i skipped to the gameplay the first time until i read the comments.

I feel the same way about SEGA.. but they better get their act together because they have been going down-hill

that suppose to be a burn...? Oddworld's awesome and Tim & Ron crafted classics one by one during their time in Lucasarts, so it's a good combination. In theory.

Doesn't look like it does anything different from other 2D puzzle platformers nor have the charm of a DF game. I'll give them the benefit of doubt though until we see more.

i am no sure but this don't look like what they would make with the kickstarter game .. i mean that game is supposed to be like monkey island and this looks too finish to be that game .. would some one let me know plz?

I doubt this is, Because this has the SEGA logo in the bumper, and also because they didn't mention it.

It looks to standard and by the numbers... This is a double fine game right? I just wish they'd make another Costume Quest... It'll never happen sadly! For that matter I'd like another Brutal Legend too!
