Guys. You have to help me out here. I started playing a drinking game with some dudes and I have to take a shot every time someone mistakes Ron Gilbert's completely separate game for the Kickstarter adventure. You're KILLING ME.

This isn't the Kickstarter game, it's the game that Ron Gilbert has been working on since he joined Double Fine.

Because most people know about the kickstarter adventure game (which Ron Gilbert is also contributing to), but not many people know that Ron Gilbert is also developing an adventure game on his own (with the help of Double fine). Perhaps misleading is the wrong word, but it certainly could confuse some people. Adding one sentence that clarifies that this isn't the kickstarter game would avoid that confusion.

Looks good but I really want to see the Kickstarter game. 3.3 MILLION.

It looks fine but I don't think I'm in the mood for the metroid-vania genre. Ok, confession time. I only got half way through Shadow Complex.

If people are confused and think a trailer like this could exist for that game already I'm not sure they're the types that would bother reading that sentence.

Man they made a lot of progress on this Kickstarter game! I'm surprised it's come this far so quickly! Also it's kind of weird that it's not the story Tim was talking about for the game. ;-)

It isn't. They mentioned that Ron Gilbert was working on a project separate from the Kickstarter one around the time they launched the page.

Well this is the first I've ever heard of The Cave, the only thing I knew Double Fine was making is the Kickstarter-funded game. Call it an assumption, but it's not the loosest connection in the world. Then again I am an idiot and had to check the comments to see if this was the Kickstarter-funded game or not.

It totally said "Adventure Game" too. And that's the literal extent of my knowledge about that KSFG (Kickstarter-funded game).

Considering their Kickstarter specifically mentioned that Ron Gilbert was working on a completely different Double Fine game that's not the Kickstarter, it's your own fault for making that wrong assumption.
